  1. Palworld is a great concept and it was really fun for like the first 15/20 hours maybe? not sure if im alone on this but i found it so boring after that and have had no motivation to return to it.

  2. Skyclimbers sounds good, but it looks… painfully generic. The concept sounds good, but the art direction has no soul.
I will not play Project: Survival. I already voiced my concerns about the developers in the past, and I hold on to those same complaints. They've lost my trust.
Elements seems a bit basic, but it's definitely got a good aesthetic to it. Definitely one that's worth looking into.
Kndred Fates sounds neat, but it also sounds like it's trying to be big right from the start. I hope they can fill the giant shoes they want to fill.
Creature Keeper sounds good, and I like pixel art games in general, but I am not fond of the art direction. The quality of the sprites is too diverse, as some sprites look incredibly basic while some have really good shading and designs. I hope that's just placeholder stuff.

Definitely a few creature collecting games worth keeping an eye on, for sure.

  3. The amount of Open World 3-D Games being worked on (not only in the Monster Taming Genre) is actually starting to get a bit exhausting. The only one I really look forward to is Nexomon 3 but mostly because I really enjoyed the first two games. And Kindred Fates. Of course I'm happy for the People enjoying this Type of games but tbh I find it hard to get invested in these. Especially when their Focuse is on the Sandbox-Building-Mechanic rather than a proper Story since the world more often than not feels pretty empty. Bigger is not always better imo

  4. My mind is WIDE open. But I HATE looking at pixel graphics. Especially when it comes with beautiful anime style art, but the pixels look nothing like that. Nah I am good. Stop making good games in pixel graphics and they will ABSOLUTELY do better.

  5. The only one here that really catches my eye is Kindred Fates. A monster-collector where you actually play as the monsters during real-time combat encounters sounds interesting.

  6. Honestly, as a backer of Kindred Fates, Palworld is my goto for tiding me over until that game's beta comes out, so recommending that is kinda backwards for me.
Nice to see that Palworld isn't the only one doing settlement sim elements, though. That's probably the one thing Palworld has going for it, so I'm gonna keep Skyclimbers on my radar.
