  1. Just a quick reminder (Not to knock the great video). El Reno 2013 was downgraded to an EF3 because there was not enough damage in the path to warrant an EF5 rating even with the extreme wind speeds

  3. I've seen more of that 3rd clip before. The guy just keeps on driving! At any point, he could have pulled over to the side of the road and waited it out, but he claims he can't for some reason. It makes no sense.

  4. EVERY OTHER TRUCKER 🚚 I KNOW, LOVES ❤️ TO DRIVE THROUGH TORNADOES 🌪 NOT ME THOUGH! I OWN MY TRUCK, ONE 2X4 THROUGH MY RADIATOR 💥 AND I'M LOOKING AT +$10,000 💰 REPAIRS. 😂 ONLY HAD ONE CLOSE CALL IN MISSISSIPPI. SKY WAS DARK GREEN AT ABOUT 14:00, TONS OF RAIN/WIND, 4WHEELERS COOPED-UP UNDER BRIDGE WITHOUT HAZARDS ON, HAD TO JAKE-3 TO COMPLETE STOP AND AIRHORNED MY WAY THROUGH TO A CITGO NEXT EXIT. PARKED BETWEEN TWO VANS. PULLED CURTAINS, WRAPPED IN A BLANKET, SAID A PRAYER 🙏. THE CITGO GOT A HAIRCUT, TRASH EVERYWHERE. ON HIGHWAY 🛣 WAS ABOUT 1/4 MILE THRASHED TREES🌲 GOING ACROSS, SOUTHBOUND WAS SHUTDOWN. BAD THING ABOUT TORNADOES 🌪 IN THE SOUTH IS ALL THE TREES 🌲 HIDE YOUR VIEW; WHEREAS IN TEXAS/OKLAHOMA YOU CAN SEE 'EM SEVERAL MILES AWAY. OH YEAH, AVOID BRIDGES 🌉 AND OVERPASSES, I'VE SEEN CARS 🚗 FLIPPED AND MANGLED, I THINK MYTHBUSTERS SAID THE PRESSURE DIFFERENTIATION AMPLIFIED THE WINDSPEED OR SOMETHING? 🤔

  5. "There's nowhere to pull over except literally the entire shoulder of the highway!" Lmao wtf is wrong with these people?

Dude in the pickup truck kept driving down the highway despite the darkening sky, severely worsening weather, and every other vehicle on the road having already pulled over.

Dude in the semi-truck pretends like all of the exits and open shoulder on the road that he's passing don't really exist, and the only choice he has is to drive directly into the tornado 🤦🏻‍♀️ even if the shoulder and exits weren't there, he could just… STOP. In the damn lane. Ffs

And then dude on his back porch… I mean wtf can you even say about someone so stupid?? I totally understand wanting to watch and film the tornado as it approaches, but you don't just goddamn stand there as it hits your house! I mean wtf people, come on!

  6. Hey you semi driver, some of those people under the over passes were probably trying to get out of the hail core. Its nice that your wife warns you that your 30 mile instincts are off by approximately 24 to 26 miles off, is beyond me.. The idea that shes freaking out because your driving right into it, and you think that its " pretty fkn cool" shows your intellegence level. As to the cars in your lane flashing their headlights at you, trying to warn you that your driving into your death, also shows the same intellegence because you assume they're just driving in the wrong lane… You must have an IQ of at least a potato. Ignorance equals death when dealing with a tornado such as the one you drove into.. i hope you were at least lucky enough to walk away with your better half. She seemed to be the smarter one. for future endeavors, you should forget what you think you know and listen to her. I hope you two made it out alive.

  7. Truck driver talking about other truckers that pulled over under overpass well before storm "fucking idiots". Same truck driver: Continues driving for MILES straight into the hook. Refuses to stop. Just barges onward. FOOL. Infuriating. "Theres no place to pull over!" ENTIRE HIGHWAY HAS BEEN EMPTY FOR MILES. SHOULDER IS CLEAR. Then, they encounter people DRIVING ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD TO ESCAPE…..and they KEEP GOING FORWARD. Infuriating, incomprehensible stupidity

  8. Imagine being a survivor of an F5 and then suffering a long and deadly battle with a tissue destroying fungus. I never knew about this until your video and I've seen a ton of videos on Joplin.

  9. That next to last one was nuts. . . . Fritch- Texas Tornadoes 6-27-1992 Video 2 . Guy films multi-vortex storm from in the distance obviously approaching through being brushed by a lighting strike on his house then knocked out by debris through the window. After coming to he films damage. Edited version having been featured on an older VHS compilation, it still holds up as one of the scariest to stay on a camera with 30 years later.. . .

  10. The next to the last video did it for me. The sheer sound of it is terrifying , some people probably pass out before the tornado takes them. That is the absolute closest that you can get to it without getting destroyed.

  11. The footage of the Covington County, MS tornado shown in this video is not of one of the EF-4 tornadoes from the April 12-13, 2020 tornado outbreak, but rather, an EF-1 that struck Collins scrap and metal yard in said county during the April 25-28, 2011 Super Outbreak. Still, the footage stands as a testament that even “weak” tornadoes mean business.

  12. Wow, that first one was insane, the way it got pitch black! I couldn't believe he kept driving, there were a lot of cars pulled over and he just kept on driving right into it. He is a lucky man! And I have to comment about the doofus who waited to take cover until the tornado was right on top of him! That was sheer idiocy, he could have been taken from his family! And for what, a stupid video?! If that was my husband, I would have dragged him into the basement!
