Hi everyone
Giants eagles tonight
I lived in the Phoenix, Arizona area for 12 years. Things always happen fast in the desert. If you see trouble, run away now. Don't wait until you think you need to go.
Was about to be thrown off a cliff from a flash flood, but caught my left front tire just enough to get grip and power out before the rest of the water came. The water was close to submerging my engine in about 2 seconds. One of scariest driving moments of my life.
With Istanbul #2 the narrator was saying that Ankara was the 2nd largest city in Turkey after Istanbul but the sentence was phrased weird
" Istanbul being the biggest, Ankara is the next biggest city in Turkey" is what he's trying to say. It was confusing the way he worded it.
Guys he said “Next to Istanbul, Ankara is the second largest……” he’s not talking about geographical location
fun fact: The 4 Corners monument isnt actually the real 4 corners of the states. Its nearby and you can find the coordinates
#1 was the least impressive.
Underworld have another channel boys which I have recently discovered (ie yesterday or so) it’s called most dangerous and it still has some of the same format of videos as there main one but also story type videos like one about the El Reno tornado the Pilger twin EF4’s the Moore EF5 etc it’s worth a look guys.
Growing up in Las Vegas in the 90s, you used to see all sorts of flash floods. They would come out of nowhere. On several occasions, I narrowly avoided one while riding my dirtbike. From the late '90s to the early 2000s, they spent a lot of money putting in retention basins all over town. As a result, you rarely see flash floods in the populated parts of the valley now. Heck, with the drought they've been experiencing, I doubt you see all that many in the outskirts, either.
Flash floods are very real and very dangerous. My friend died in a flash flood in Arizona.
Mike looking feisty. Why isn’t he gay ? 😤
He said "Next to Istanbul, Ankara is Turkey's 2nd largest city… " So, Istanbul is the largest city. Then, next to that is Ankara.
A few years ago I went down the YouTube rabbit hole of people getting swept over waterfalls and away in flashfloods and dam releases…it was brutal
I remember the chlamydia outbreak of 1996. It was just me but, boy was it painful
I lived in New Braunfels, Tx when when five dams failed after like a month of near constant rain (in 2002? I think). There was a walking bridge next to the highway bridge going over the river. That bridge was FULL, shoulder to shoulder, of lookey loos watching houses and trucks, etc, floating down the river, under and then past the bridge. Watching the news, I just remember my dad getting increasingly angry at how stupid those people were.
18:30 "Who knows where that stream would carry them if they fell in?" – I would say to our right. "That way —->"
Never camp near a river bed in the Southwest, even if it is completely dry. When it rains, these “washes” flood quickly and can easily wash away people. There have been deaths over the years of people not understanding this (usually tourists who don’t live in the Southwest) and who have been swept away.
Scary
