This is an updated product review of some of the cheapest trail cameras on Amazon. Trail cameras are the best scouting tool we have available to us as deer hunters. My goal was to find a cheap camera that checked all the boxes and performed as well as some of the more expensive trail cams. Iโ€™m always on the search for the best budget trail camera and the best trail cam for the money. I think Iโ€™ve found it. These are some of the best budget trail cameras for 2022.

  1. What setting do you use at night for the Vikeri? Bought it because your night time video looks really good, and mine's beyond grainy at night. Not new to trail cams, but can't seem to figure that part out. Thanks!

  2. Nice comparison of the cameras advertised features, but you never showed if the cameras actually performed as advertised. As a newbie shopper, I have already returned 2 cameras because of their total failure to meet the package specs for trigger distance. I have not seen one Youtuber check this in a camera review. I would think really testing trail cameras to what is advertised on the box would bring more subscribers than just talking about the features on the box and showing some pretty pictures.

  3. The Hawkray Trail Camera offers excellent value, good photo and video quality during the day, but night photos lack depth, and the range is limited. The micro card insertion from the bottom is inconvenient for swapping. Great video BTW!!!!

  4. I realize this is an older video that I found, but that Viking that you voted number 1 looks exactly like my SESERN camera. Probably made in same factory and branded with another name. Anyway, I really like my SESERN game cam. Year plus old and still performing well. Nice video.

  5. Can you schedule the Vikeri trail camera to only shoot at night? I'm wanting to see what type of wildlife I have checking out my chicken coop but I don't want to record in the daytime when the chickens are out. Thanks for the video, loved it!

  6. Thank you for the helpful and informative video. I liked, subscribed and purchased the Vikeri for $50 w/same day delivery. We have purchased a number of Browning trail cams over the years, with varying success for more than twice the dough. No glow is the way to go!

  7. The Guardepro e5 is AMAZING for its price! I got 3 of them on Amazon at $34 and theyโ€™ve done amazing so far. The Hawkray mini was a huge disappointment, the nighttime photos didnโ€™t work half the time, batteries donโ€™t last long at all, and stopped working after its 3rd use ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ all my other cameras like Alpha cam, izeeker, Guardepro, and browning are 1000x better

  8. I hunt nothing but public land and I'm a new to using a game camera! I also don't know much about tech stuff or computers! I'm wanting a non cellular camera that can use a full size sd card, shows battery level, basic setup, works descent and something I don't have a lot of money in,as good chance it will be taken or stolen! I'm not sure how to connect a sd card to my android cell phone either or what my best option to see the pictures and save them and share with my hunting buddies! Battery level indicator isn't a deal breaker but would be nice! I have read some about using a card reader on my android cell phone but not knowing much about tech stuff they have me a little nervous about messing my cell phone up trying to view the sd card! Also I read where some of the card readers connectors aren't long enough to connect good if you have a case on your cell phone! I liked the video of the 5 cheap non cellar game cameras you posted but don't want a cellular or the micro sd card cameras! I really would like to try a camera or two this year that isn't cellular! Our Rural King here is offering a Muddy T100 on sale now but not seeing good reviews on them! I'm mostly confused on how to read the sd cards on my phone! Are wireless and cellular the same thing with game cameras? Thanks

  9. Hey great video, very informative. Can you tell me how long the batteries generally last on these cameras. Can you use rechargable AAA batteries in them or can you connect them to a power bank.

  10. Great video! I just wanted to say that the couple of cameras Iโ€™ve bought from KF Concepts looks super similar to the Vikeri cam you have in the vid. So I wonder if Vikeri is the manufacturer. (And Iโ€™m super impressed with the KF concept one).
I need to buy some more cams so Iโ€™m picking up some Vikeri (they look different than yours) to try out.

  11. I purchase a cheap amazon trial cam (not one in your review), but I set it up and it takes a ton of pics with nothing in them. It will take 100+ pics in a matter of hours. I've adjusted the PIR to medium and I still get the same results. Do you have any words of wisdom to solve this issue. TIA.
