Oh my, so I should've turned dynamic tone mapping off for HDR movies and games? I've been using default FILMMAKER mode, so DTM has been enabled since I got my C2.
How do I calibrate my eyes to be more sensitive and powerful then Elon Musk's ego??? Pls include answer for the sake of completeness.
The 42" OLED is just awesome. The visuals are just insane if u switch from a IPS 2540×1440 Panel. It feels like a real "next-gen" upgrade. The only issue i had with using it as a monitor, is this auto dimming "feature" it´s super annoying. But in overall, there is no better monitor on the market imo.

I have blue tinting on mine too, not sure if it's a WBE or WBC, the model info says 08/00/01/03 and manufactured in May 2022. Seems very similar to the blue tint on some 48 and 55 C1 manufactured late last year, people were saying it was the polarizer because they had WBE panels. RTINGS didn't mention there's had blue tint but confirmed that it had not pink tint and was WBE. Their viewing angle video shows blue tinting as well though when you look on the right side at an angle, the white portion goes from red when head on to fairly blue. It's seems no matter the panel, blue tint may be an issue. From about 1.5 meters there's not tint however. Also weird is that on camera, the tint can look pink sometimes but in real life it's always blue.
So i may get a WBC panel by buying LG G2 83”? Or it my bad understanding

Where is the "plate" / heatsink? Is it the additional film over the OLED? When I use my LG C9 running for hours, I touch the back of the TV and is cool? Where is this heatsink and can other TV's like the LG C9 be modded to incorporate the heatsink?
Waste of money C2 42" & 48" and no benefits 20% more bright. Better buy for the same money LG C1 55"!!!
I experienced the same uneven color tenting on a C1 48 inch. Noticeable in certain white background applications like word. Unnoticeable in gaming and movies.
How can it be 120hz on pc if the HDMI’s go at a maximum of 100hz?
I bought it 42c2 around a month ago on Amazon because nobody had it. I think I got the bad lottery one though. Anyways reason I got this size is because I had bought the 48c1 and it didn't fit inside my semi truck. Also this 42c2 is way lighter and with a padded carrying tote tv bag I'm able to transport it traveling easier than the 48 or larger. I also had returned the sony 43 85jx and the Samsung 43 qled because they're liars doesn't have 120 hz as stated and the picture quality is horrible the colors on faces changes and motion is super blurry. Once I tried the 48c1 oled there wasn't anything that was worth the quality of an oled period. This is my reason why I bought the LG 42 C2 OLED.

Is there any way for the laymen person to tell if the 42 inch tv they are about to purchase in store has the newer panel? i understand now that there is little difference but it's just an OCD thing.
Great review, as always. I am considering using this TV for 21:9 aspect ratio gaming, therefore, do you think I could count with 20-30% percent higher brightness in 21:9 "full screen"?

just have it for days, it is the NO BRAINER for GAMER. some says C1 48 inch is better but there is supply issue so only limited availability even logically much more budgets. agreed it is not the best overall . 48 inch C2 is also super limited that needed to pre-order for weeks *atleast in my cities maybe.

Got the 42 c2 for 810 euros it Was labeled as used but only the Package was damaged, oled was new.
