Tragic accident but there’s a lesson to learn.
This can be stopped Hawaii but prob won’t.
Surpirsed these geniuses & green (leftards), don’t come out and go with a carbon tax. That will stop em.
Here’s the dirty little secret that they don’t want you to know.
There is a ton of illegal fireworks already here being stored in certain parts on this island.
Law enforcement knows where the big caches are. They are being paid off so it’s well protected.
This stuff has been coming into Hawaii for decades. It’s a multi million dollar industry.
There needs to be a sweeping federal investigation. The feds have to get involved.
There is too much local corruption in law enforcement and too much apathy in local government regarding this issue.
Blood is on their hands.
What about Lahaina? 🎉😢
You can just hear the power grab the democrats are looking for, my opinion is go KICK ROCK JACKASS
Accidents happen. WTF? How many people used fireworks with no problem? People die in car accidents every day. Do you outlaw cars? No. Kneee jerk reaction to a dramatic event that was caught on video.
My neighbor who is a cop got drunk and threw a bottle at my house. No cops came when i called. The system is corrupt and the mayor/govenor should fix the inner circle beforw accusing the community.
Those poor women were killed in such a horrific way, their men must be ashamed of themselves.
BS alert ,what fools we have ,US customs water front agents been on the take for years and years , let that cash cow TSA good for nothing cover the water front port and let US customs do there duty at airport .
They need to arrest the homeowner or person that bought the fireworks. and investigate he turns on who he bought them from and on up the chain till they get to the person at the harbor sneaking these things in. We go camping to get our dogs away from the fireworks. But it happened last night sporadically. I don’t think anything will change its to engrained into the Hawaii people’s lives.
You’re right about getting smarter. I say educate everyone on proper way of lighting up. If you can’t take a hint the whole island was lit up like everywhere. Please take steps that will make real change. Like everything else you leave a vacuum it will eventually get filled with a new supplier. Just educate and maybe even tax it. Bring back the old fireworks that kids use to get. Good luck 🤙🤙
Come on just admit illegal fireworks got worse after the ban.
YEAH RIGHT ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. BAN TOTALLY FIREWORKS, WELL SEE IF YOU CAN DO THAT !!
Its like they want people to die. Year after year they keep saying they are going to do something about illegal fireworks but what happens every year? Nothing absolutely nothing. Do you want more people to die before you guys do something to fix this!!!!!!
Government took away fire crackers and sparklers, and this what happened.
Sending condolences and prayers to all the ohana involved in the tragedy
And stop going over and over about the medical staff and ambulance those employed applied many study to acquire the job and we are blessed but please stop
Most of you guyz talking nevah even grow up Hawaii and WTH wen sell them ALL THAT ? WHo The chief the governor the mayor you no nothing of its history
Fireworks was introduced was the buddhist religion uses for the ceremony?
Ok so all the people who was setting off was unprofessional user so AGAIN what about who sold it .
Now their stopping fireworks on the 4th what’s next thing will go wrong once in a while t like police shooting someone that’s done nothing wrong so do we ban the police?
Listening to how the first responders, dispatchers, and hospitals handled this crisis gave me chicken skin! Bravo to everyone involved! Scary to think we have limited resources in hospitals during a mass crisis. I hope this incident brings changes to prevent illegal fireworks from entering our state.
Pfizer p!mP said WHHHAAAAT @1:19
Talk is cheap.
Putting people at risk is a culture you CAN LIVE WITHOUT
HEY EVERYONE, JUST STOP BUYING THE FIREWORKS , ITS EASY TO DO, AND THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN, CAN YOU DO THAT, OR MUST THERE BE MORE VICTIMS OF STUPIDITY
Our taxes will increase because idiots want fireworks at ANY COST TO HUMAN LIFE, just dont buy them, try to control your lust for destruction
Mayor Blandiardi, Police Chief Logan we have illegal fireworks laws on the books. We have police officers who live in the residential communities around the island sir. Why aren't they doing their job to enforce illegal firework activity where they live sir? They are on duty even though they off work sir. If they can't enforce the laws, then they are not doing their job responsibilities. You need to fire them, and replace them with individuals who will enforce our laws. Both of you are responsible for this disaster, if you can't do your job. We recommend you quit so we can get leaders who will do the job.
A one-year pause on all fireworks except by licensed professionals would be an opportunity to educate the public and honor the lives lost and impacted by this tragic event. Implement the recommendations of the Task Force. Get public buy-in and support for these recommendations as well.
There should be no gray areas.
