  1. Are they ever going to fix the anomaly search function. I hadn't played since the last title update came out. I tried to pick it back up today, but the inability to find or join other anomaly hunts frustrated me so much that I turned it off.

  2. Gaijin is over reacting with the MR. I drop and pick up the game from time to time, I realized I have MR 450, HR 800.

Just play the game. Stop making excuses to ditch MH and go back yo FF. Jizz.

  3. Gaijin complaining about grinding in Monhun while playing ffxiv a goddamn mmo will forever be incredible hilarious (and yeah I love ffxiv but that game for a new player has literal years worth of grind)

  4. World endgame was so much fun. Iceborne was fun but got even more fun with updates. New to rise on Xbox and I gotta say this grind for decos and talismans suuuuuuucks.
Then just to find out Sunbreak endgame is even more grindy makes me not want to play it. Hopefully the next installment they steer far away from this over the top grind.

  5. I've been actually enjoying Rise on ps5 alot more than I have been on the switch. On the switch I haven't done much with investigations or have any really good talismans on switch.
My buddy on the other hand has poured many many many hours into investigations. Has awesome talismans and just got his main set to the point were he is happy with the skills and everything on it. He is happy on the switch.

We are opposites in that sense. He is happy on the switch while I am happier on the ps5.

I mean I still hop on the switch from time to time but I rather be playing on the ps5 than on the switch.

So yeah, my point is that I am happy with the options and people should just play on the console they like.

  6. Bro, I'm genuinely disgusted and sad about the way they went full in with paid dlc in this game, as someone who started MH with World, it immediately became one of my all time favorite games obviously because it's a great game but also because there was so little paid dlc and it felt really unimportant, sure make poses, a few pendants, a few haircuts paid dlc, but layered armor and weapons ? Nah, I'm not cool with that. When in World IB we could get cool stuff just by actually playing the game, now it's just "pay us for it", I hope people don't actually but thihipaid dlc shit because it needs to go the fuck away, I get the people that kick the ones that bought the dlc from their lobby.

  7. The thing that annoys me with the anomaly grind is it’s just not one or two or even three monsters, if you run elemental builds and multiple weapons, you have to grind almost every monster, that to me is just nonsense, it’s the first MH game I’ve played that I’ve tried different weapons, now I don’t want to touch outside of my main ad they just won’t be competitive

  8. If they had released the other console versions when they dropped PC version it would have been better. My friend bought me a switch to get me to play it. I hated switch so much that I didn't enjoy. Now I'm on PS5 ready to play but also uninspired by it because I've already grinded on switch.

  9. Gaijin they're going to sell the Velkhana dog skin later on to consoles probably. They specifically mention they're giving "free" early access now and everyone else will get it later.

  10. I also agree with the Extremoth sentiment! I got into XIV waay after fighting extremoth and I remembered that while I didn't particularly hate extremoth, I did not want to do it again after killing it once. Thinking back, now that I'm more in tune with how MMOs work, I'm very interested to play it again.

Except that there isn't really anyone around I know that plays with me 🙁

  11. People talk about catch up all the time… catch what? the game content is not going away. You could be playing the game for a decade if you want, and take your time with it. You don't have to be ready for the next update. I feel a lot of people are feeling burnt out because they are not having fun with the game. Stop playing if you are not enjoying it. It's ok. There is a reason why every update has different MR requierments, for people that take it easy you get the MR 10. And for people that are playing the game more, there is the highter MR requierments. The devs know what they are doing, you might not like it, but they are aware. There needs to be a reward for people that like the grind too. It might be too grindy for some, but hey, I've seen a ton of people already al MR 999….

  12. The whole point of Monster hunter is to grind, Gaijain cant be mad that he hasnt been grinding in monster hunter. Hes been playing ff14…dont be mad that you got left behind. makes him kinda hypocritical.

  13. I cant believe yall are bitching about how you get the velkhana pala set. MH is one of capcom's biggest ip, is it to asisnine that they would use their popular ip to boost notifictaions for their newsletter?? Is it that absurd?? Complain, complain, complain. Also, if you want it on steam and switch, just use a different email…who doesnt have more than 1 these days? Yall just love to complain.

  14. The dual sense is probably the worst controller I've played with since the N64 controller I don't understand why ppl like it. It's shape is uncomfortable, the haptic triggers are annoying. The only redeeming factor is the rumble

  15. Anomaly levels shouldn't be a thing they should have just set tiers like anomaly levels 140-160 is under anomaly tier 6 etc so they can combine levels thats close to each other to make it easier to find rooms of a certain monster online.

Also most of world/iceborne dlcs were extras like pendants, room decorations, handler costumes etc. If I remembered correctly we didn't get any paid layered armor or weapons except for the armors in the deluxe editions. The moment they started charging armor and weapons as microtransactions even if its only layered the slope is already sliding for me, my worst fear is that in the future games they will make every monster weapon and armor look generic and you must pay to unlock better looking versions of them.

  16. on yall complaining that Sunbreak is too complicated

I cant believe ruri of all people would say its too complicated, insane. you yourself have said that MHRise, base rise-encourages you to try out all the weapons. this game been out for 2 years, you've had ample time to get familiar. Yall said, base rise had no content, now sunbreak is overly complicated.

You dont have to have different actions for scrolls, you can have the same skills on the same scroll…since swapping between guard reload and a regular block on a charge shield is too complicated. Not to mention Guard edge having synergy with both of charge blade's guarding counters…

  17. Didn't Ryozo tweet about ppl needing to watch the Tokyo Game Show '23? That would be in Sept. If they release MH6 in '24, that would make it MH's 20th anniversary.

I think one final monster update in the summer would make sense with that timeline. You need ppl to get pumped up for, and time to fight the final monster (all summer). Then once MH6 is announced in Sept, all focus from Capcom would be spent advertising and creating hype.

  18. You never realize how complex monster hunter is until you help a friend new to the series through the game. Have a friend who’s only played fps games. She loves the game, but it shows me how much of monster hunter is implied that you know how to do it

  19. I think the MR requirements are great, it motivates the player into slowly progressing through the content instead of instantly getting everything and getting bored quickly because they've touched a little bit of all the content. Even the grind till 160 is not that bad with the sheer amount of quests and things to complete before getting new quests and monsters. The progression system in sunbreak is amazing.

  20. As a Third Fleeter myself, I would put Iceborne as my third favorite in the series. GU and Sunbreak I enjoy more, which may just mean I prefer the portable titles. I love the hunter art system so much. I’m also a huge fan of executing counters, so now that every weapon has one it makes me want to play them all. My biggest complaint about Sunbreak is the change in mounting, which was one of my favorite aspects of monster hunter since its introduction.
