Have a great night and enjoy Christmas
Always look forward to your videos mate! Got myself a Mars 3 Pro yesterday and currently printing my own shovel wielding lunatics army 😆
I missed out on the original box set back in the day. Glad I can print it out now and for crazy cheap!
always glad to see your videos in my feed, i also struggle to paint an army after printing
An FDM terrain challenge would be great, I've just picked up a discounted anycubic cobra and I'm constantly hunting for some good STLs to churn out (and probably never paint).
It's awesome that you show people a cheaper alternative when it comes to this hobby! I'm not someone who has started painting yet but I want to one day and I'm very excited for the future of 3d printing!
Merry Christmas bro!
They can chug out one ban wave after another, but we are many, we are LEGION! We are everywhere, our storage spaces unending! But lowkey, hop on the discord guys. Came for the links, stayed for the people.
Managed to snag the csm line of dark vengeance myself. Printed off the chosen came out great.
Would it be possible for you to share your print settings and resin that you use? I just got a Saturn 8k and am struggling getting successful prints.
Love your channel bro!!!! Keep it up – maybe wfb next? Highland miniatures??
Great video! Merry Christmas Sam!
I still got one of those box sets still in shrink wrap
FDM Terrain yes please! Printing GW Terrain boxes Like the Nachmund Crane for Kill Team. That seemed to be some limited Fomo BS.
The Dark Eldar models aren't bad and the Templars look really good.
But whats with those Hazard Stripes on a Templar Impulsor? Probably a Gift from the Iron Hands i suppose.
If the Imperium has the technology to have hover vehicles, why would they still have motorcycles with wheels and tanks with treads?
I wish you painted the templar eyes red lol
christmas sam episode 😀
i love all your printing alternate starter set videos and stuff man they're awesome
The print lines on the front of the Impulsor aren't to do with suction, that's caused by the angle of the face and the resolution of your screen.
There's no real easy way to fix this without similar printing artefacts on other flat faces. Often you'll either need to rotate parts to a specific angle based on the layer height and pixel width; or print at a layer height that matches the width.
Open Paint, zoom in real close and draw a line not quite horizontal, you'll see the same effect as on the Impulsor.
As a guy who printed eve Warlord Titan..
1 – Pre-supported models in 90% are not tested by creators and that leads us to failed prints. (As example – i have anycubic mono 6k and plate soaking power so high that not well supported minies are ripping of from supports during print)
2 – 90% of ppl are lazy and dont wanna teach how to put their own supports and that leads us to "fake" illusions that 3d printing is so eazy but when they coming into it, they getting disappointed.
3 – A lot of STLs are shit. Totally. Coz not being tested by creators.
4 – And use hot water for easiest way to take minies from support after print. It will save your minies from cracking.
Can you 3d print Eldar exodites in the future.
Keep up the great content!
What type of oil paint were you using for the washing?
Awesome set, just ordered my first 3D printer and getting really excited to start this hobby
brother hands down your box set. i hate the old dark eldar sculpts. Quick question if you do go for a fdm printer which one would you go for
i occasionally paint models.
so this channel has opened my eyes
Did you say Edge miniatures made those space warrior models? they look so good
So what brand are the 3d Figure for the Templar you choose ? Very nice .
Could I request an iron warriors and geanstealer cult battle set or iron warriors and imperial guard hell I would be willing to take pay for the model myself if you don’t want them ps they need a canon please and thank you
Watching your videos always made me wish my basement would be warm enough for a printer 😞
really well thought out and filmed, enjoyed this – great content
I am fond of your channel and videos. I really liked the format of this video although I am not a big fan oof 40k. I prefer space crusade. Food for thought and possibly future videos/ projects. Make starter sets for wargaming fantasy and age of sigmar. Afterwards, you can recreate warhammer quest, hero quest and space crusade sets. Merry Christmas and happy new year BROTHER.
3DBuilder is great for assembly like you said, it’s also good for automatically making surface/mesh models into solids!
Would love to see some alternative videos to 40k. Show the world that this machine is a factory in a box. Revive an old extinct have that have free rules online for example.
I love your set, they look great! gonna have to look into these dank eldars some more 🙂
I thought about fdm printing for terrain but since I'm working in 15mm scale I've found resin to be the best choice and still reasonably affordable. I can print 2x 10 man rifle squads scaled down to 15mm and a semi detached single story medieval house for about $6-8. Of the 5 bottles of resin I bought at around $50 I'm only 1/4 through the second one and have already printed 5x light tanks, 6x 10 man infantry squads, 8x vans/trucks as transports and a command squad with a extra Lt costing a total of ~$15
What glue did you use?
great video, but i personally disagree with the premise of being the "ultimate starter set". its all entirely subjective, for example if you loved tyranids and tau you would print that instead and that would be the ultimate set. additionally, it doesnt come with the rulebook, which i would probably find really helpful to someone getting into the hobby as it has all the rules in one place and a lot of flavour text along with it which is amazing for setting the scene for a universe that in a beginners case they probably wouldnt have had a lot of experience with.
I’ve been thinking about the FDM terrain thing myself! I might even do it for my tanks. I’ve got a tiny OG mars printer and printing big terrain pieces is gonna be a pain.
Time to start splicing models in Blender until I get one I suppose
I don’t agree with people 3d printing actual GW models. Especially the current models. Discontinued models that are no longer in use I could accept. I would not play with another if their models were 3d printed when I’ve spent hard earned cash to build a legit army. Each to there own I suppose
Can you do a video where you try to 3D print so space dwarf to celebrate the new squat
Sam! You made the video I wanted to see, Thanks!! Looking at doing this exact thing for Christmas!
It was today years old when I learned that you paint grey the white for a good white, man…
hi what stl you used ?
Hot take; this style of 3d printing kills friendly local gaming stores. Good jerb.
It looks nice but can you show both armies in a clearer view?
Hi Battle Brother I was wondering if I can download your content from you page to upload to my youtube channel ? I'm interested in starting a channel but don't have the content.. would that be ok to get me going!?
Get a $15 heat gun from harbor freight to remove the supports. Works way better than hot water
When I use Chitubox It says I have a "invalid file" I am new to 3d printing and I have no clue what it means by that some one help pls
Would you be willing to share your painting recipe for the purple Eldar? The paint job looks amazing!
