Air India’s fleet structure is a lot different today than what it was just a couple of years ago. Several of its planes, both widebody and narrowbody, had been gathering dust at airports because the company didn’t have enough funds to get the parts needed to fly them again. But things have changed over the past few years – and this transformation is something we’ll examine in today’s video!

Air India b787 is both the world's most dangerous airline and aircraft of the world no money India aviation is most dangerous in the world wouldn't trust them
Air-India has been a basket case for quite a long time. Perhaps going back to their original owners (Tata) might help
So, as a long haul passenger, I'll wait till the end of 2025 before taking any chances?
That’s why you don’t buy planes from Boeing.
Buy the a220, a320, a330, a350 family planes. At least they don’t crash, or catch on fire, or have so many design and manufacture faults.
Indigo ordered 500 a320 neo
400 Millionen Dollars might sound much, but is actually next to nothing for that fleet size.
Keep in mind that one single Dreamliner costs approx. 300 million USD
It’s like trying to repair 100 damaged iPhones with 1000$.
The sum is not even close enough to buy new seat, not speaking of technical spare parts
Air India's service has become so much better after Tata bought it out. My friend flew on the airline a few days ago and he noted that the cabin crew were more hospitable and the food was better. Apparently the food was now on par with Vistara.
Management has been clear in its recovery plan and is executing well. Planes are flying again and on-board service has improved. On-time performance has also improved. Next is the interior upgrade that is badly needed. They've already announced 2024-25 as the period when these upgrades will happen, probably at Singapore (Singapore airline is a joint venture partner in Vistara & will own 26% of the merged airline). To me, it's only a matter of time before Air India becomes the obvious choice when flying to India. What I'm curious to see is if they can also get some transit passenger growth to compete with the ME3 and their own partner SQ.
Why they don't order the parts?your subject is Air India no need to specify brand.pls.
I curious how much it costed every day (hangar rental, overhead expenses, and revenue losses) to park 13 Boeing 787 Dreamliners in storage.
the airline needs no less than 26 brand new B787-10 & 34 B787-9 . . . Air India should completely refurbish (C-Check & D-Check) their grounded fleet of 11 B787-8 & resume operations once again, catering to international medium – long haul routes . . . primarily South East Asia & the Middle East . . . although the airline placed a firm order with AIRBUS for 36 – 44 brand new wide body jets, namely the A350-900 ULR & A350-1000 HGW . . .
30 thousand parts… makes me wonder about the quality of the aircraft
India going crazy
430 aircraft from Boeing by Air India
500 aircraft from Airbus by Indigo
75 aircraft from Boeing by Akasha😅
The biggest difference seen at the airline is the improvement in the On Time Performance, flow of information with regards to gate and luggage, FFP and the website. The on board product is getting better, with the improvements in the catering. With the retrofitting of the old cabins and the introduction of the new fleet, AI will be a pleasure to fly once again. I recently had the opportunity to fly one of the new leased A321 (VT-RTD) from MAA to BOM, and we can rest assured that flying AI on their short, medium and long haul will be very comfortable once again.
Good Luck 👍🏾 and Congratulations Air India 🇮🇳 💙💙💙
So many indian Air line have poir maintanance
Can Air India change its aircraft livery?? Such a boring colours…Try something like Vistara ( Gold n Purple ) or peacock colours since peacock is identity of India….Y sticking to old design…blueekmm
🇮🇳🇮🇳
Flew them once long haul about 22 years ago. They ran out of drinking water. Enough said.
Leave the grounded let’s talk about the one whose flying only engine running smoothly & the interior is all taped
screens -windows-seats -toiletsluggage cabin. And old aunty’s rude behaviour.
