3 Years of One Synth Challenge – All my tracks | Impedance Music

Today (29th of April) is my 3 year anniversary of One Synth Challenges. The result is a collection of 19 terrible tracks mixed and mastered by my neighbours cat Willy. Meow.

What is the One-Synth Challenge?
The One-Synth Challenge is a monthly challenge where you get a single VST [or in special rounds even Hardware] and have to create a whole track using only that single instrument. No sampling, no other instruments or vocals – all sounds have to come from that and only that instrument! Also no modulation FX allowed – no chorus, no phaser, no heavy distortion – the sound must be recognizable. It´s fun.

Why is your synthesia-video so laggy?
Please help me – I can´t get rid of it… I changed everything in OBS and Synthesia – Bitrate, VSync, Recording Method, Framerate, Resolution… Nothing helps… Fixing the Framerate to 60 FPS gave me the best result, which is actually what you see here. So if anyone has experience or knows something else i could try – please tell me in the comments, i´m open for suggestions and hopefully don´t forget to answer, because i´m a professional idiot.

Now to some “features” of this video:
Second – My Videoediting software is awesome and i love it…
And because that i won´t tell you the brand… It reminds me of wizards and a song by Queen … I don´t know why… That piece of incredible software didn´t only crash every 5 minute or even on startup – no it also made the laggyness 10 times worse aaand:
– the banner from “OSC-122” is missing – rendering issue- it is there in the preview, great
– I set the Audio to the highest resolution possible, it is sometimes messed up, pawesome
– Some animations simply not rendered, because why not, much wow
– Transparent things are not transparent, works wonders on physical windows… incredible
– In an animation in “OSC 148” the chroma key didn´t work. This is one thing i could´ve tried to fix, but i thought it looked hilariously stupid so i left it in, amazing

So in the (probably far) future i will switch to DaVinci Resolve, but it requires some kind of intelligence and I even struggle to breath.
