It’s now been 3 YEARS(?!) that I’ve been living up in the former mining town of Cerro Gordo. Truly insane to think about from my end. It’s been the best 3 years of my life and looking back on all that happens it has helped shaped who I am. I am so so excited to see what the next 3 years will bring.
Thank you all so so much for all your support over the years!

Brent. I am going to something for you. Your video's are world class. Your narration and giving your knowledge to the average person whom don't know what they are looking is unbelievable. We understand!! And besides scaring the BeJesus out of us on your quests.
Expect a call from The National Geographic Society. I know some folks there. And I am sure they would be happy to sponsor you on you adventures that you take your fans on nail-biting excursions and actually learn something.
Don't let uncle Sam find out lol
Thanks Brent, this vlog was so much of what I needed tonight… Adventure and a bit of nostalgia… May the hotel and other explorations be fun and safe…
Ciao for now, 😎
I think it’s really cool I’d like to visit someday
Where's the link to buy the rocks brent
Been following you since the start Brent, wow you have come along way. Looking forward to seeing the Hotel finished.
Brent you make history sexy ☺️😁
Although I like your channel, and the Cerro Gordo Story. You talking about nature etc. Mining part however, doesn’t make me happy. Mining is nothing close to loving and appreciating nature. Mining is damaging the rock formations, damaging to the natural environment. I don’t see it as appreciation of what surrounds you. I would leave it alone.
I think we blame the rock hounding bug on Dan 😂
My respect to you Brent, for finding Cerro Gordo, finding yourself, your dreams, for saving Ca history.
Its amazing the amount of friendships created, the outpouring of help from people throughout the world.
My dream is to come visit sometime when i am in the area within my lifetime.
Im so happy for you.
Health, continued happiness, and God bless you Brent. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🕊🕊🥰🥰
One thing I wondered is why not build a water tower? Or have large tanks to fill water underground, when it does snow you can fill the tanks with snow and use heat pumps to keep them going and melt the snow. That way you could have a good supply of water if there is no wells there that have water. Maybe this is a stupid idea but was just thinking about it after watching the winter videos. Would definitely help with water trips in the spring at least and have some water for showers
Hello Brett I'm a big fan and I just seen someone using you in the thumbnail of there video
https://youtu.be/EIcnCaVsYFI
Im sure you have been asked this many times- what drone are you using, specifically the one that has the great follow mode? I believe your 2nd drone. Thank you! We LOVE everything about what you do! We would love to come visit/help if we can.❤
You know I think of Cerro Gordo a lot. I'm a 21 year old out of pennsylvania in college for a major I am not not 100 commited to and struggling in. I find myself going back to these videos and thinking why couldn't I? Why could I not just buy an entire ghost town in PA and renovate it? Where would I get the money? How many people could i get to help me? Could i figure out the skills to do it? I sure wonder….
Hearing all these stories about all the awesome adventures people have had exploring and living in these places is really inspirational, keep up the awesome work and keep being an inspiration to people who are looking for new chances to explore and live.
What a uniquely interesting life!
Looks awesome, Brent! Can't wait to someday be a visitor at Cerro Gordo 👍
Very cool
You should make an astronomers tower at the highest point in the town
uhmmm.. arent you the millionaire who bought an old ghosttown in the desert, burnt his own building (the hotel) down because you had to get rid of it? and begged for money after that? because a propane tank (!) in a desert (!) in a WOODEN HOUSE (!!!) that you didnt make an ensurance for (!!!!) "blew up"?
the level of evilness is just unbelieavable. american people are the worst people on this world and in the whole human history.
better to shore up a main entrance rather than a slide and work your way in safely that way continuously shoring up the tunnel the whole way to ensure it remains safe for years to come
This is like a Minecraft hardcore 1000 days video
Will be in Reno Lake Tahoe and your area. Ok to stop in??
Wow how the time has flown by…trials, tribulations, triumphs and treasures!
Planning a road trip later in the month. Can a motor home get up your road?
I love watching your videos!! Please make more!! I've been looking on a regular basis waiting for the next new video.
Please don't change the way you are making videos. Commercials are fine, add all you want, but keep your style. I have youtube premium, and I don't mind watching a few commercials on your brilliant videos
