Just saw this video on my feed and was happy you were back. Then, I went to your channel and noticed you were uploading normally, but youtube was just not showing your videos to me.
There's a few mechanics in Grimwild that I find very interesting. Think I might get it
Awesome recommendations Redmage!
Wow, you can feel the tone of Grimwild dripping off the pages! I love the thieves' cant section. I've been looking for something like that for awhile. My rogue player is going to love it!
Uuuhhgh, nooo. I don't need more booooks… (Definitely getting Grimwild just for that Thieves' Cant if nothing else. Keep 'em coming, RM. Love ya.)
For the record on Grimwild, it does have a free version as well (which has everything but the Extras chapter, so the thieves' cant for instance is not there except for a more basic version in the Rogue path section) – totally worth checking out too!
Grimwild seems to be a direct asset flip of Wicked Ones (free on drivethrurpg). WO is a great rpg where you play 'the bad guys'
That Thieves Cant chart in Grimwild looks really cool. I may pick it up for that alone.
I love the thieves' cant thing. I've assembled something similar, taking stuff from old Hobo Code symbol guides, as well as a book called Flash Lingo, where a guy made a thieves' cant based off Cockney and another similar code language. I was hoping to make it a part of a DCC game I had planned to get off the ground last year, but we didn't get past the first session.
I got a Free RPG Day book for Shadows of Estren, but I haven't checked it out yet. One of these days…
