It was actually subtlety shown during the gamescom dev stream. When you get on seicret from the interim camp you move from the lobby session to the quest session. This is seamless from the first person but you fade out of existence to anyone still in the camp. I suspect that you pick a quest session before leaving the camp or you end up in a solo map. This would allow 16 player lobbies so it is not an impossibility yet.
I can't wait for this! I'm sure even after I pour thousands of hours into this game I don't think I'll ever skip Gemma's smithing animation 😊

Fingers crossed that they also bring back Yian-Garuga. I would love to see any sort of interaction between the two. Garuga was amazing in Iceborne, and besides Gammoth, he's the monster that I'm always hoping to return in newer games.

There is no doubt this is a direct sequel to MHW. From the guy wearing full Guardian Armour to the Wyverian from the resource centre. I would not be surprised if it turns out Fabius is the hunter from MHW (meaning us).
It would be cool if they had the hunters for hire mechanic for the npc hunters you get on the hunt. For those who don’t know what hunters for hire is, it was a 4U feature that let you save hunters you played with on guild cards and use them to go and grab materials for you. Like the cats that go on quests in rise.
