The industry needed a new profit driver with a host of synthetic, expensive to develop drugs coming off patent. The National Democrat party must stop trying to appease the "Moderate Reoublicans" and stop walking away from their real base. They minimized and walked away from the victories of the past four years.
They walked away from addressing the real hipocracy and real pain caused by the Republicans. The Harris-Walz campaign started strong witha clear message. Then they drifted over to appeal to the Establisment Right.
Perhaps they listened to the " Big Money" saying, "Tone it down".
Susequently, the campaign went from strong, clear and forceful to, in the eyes of the voters, vague, backpeddling and pandering to the elite.
They took a powerful message, a strong position and turned it into a singl issue pleading.
They, once more, let thecRepu licand define the the battlefield and the turned a capable offense into a weakened defense.
Stop walking away from your base.
Stop appealing to the perhaps 7% by appearing to abandon 30%.
Yes, bodily autonomy was a msjor issue, but it was not a, put food on the table issue.
You allowed the opposition to make you appear ineffective. You brought a fly swatter to a brawl.
When union leaders and members walk away from you, you let the opposition to steal a core strength of the party, to neutralize what should have been a strong politicsl weapon – The Party of the People was reduced to The Party of What.
You did not shout, "We are creating the changes you want."
Instead, it sounded more like, "Hold the line." "Don't go back!"
If you had added , "Advance, Progress, The future is our to seize", you would have made it.
But, no, you backed off, you surrendered to cautious appeasement. That cost dearly.
