TWD really helped the zombie genre take off, then was also imo kinda responsible for it's rather sudden burn out. But hell yeah I'd be first in line for a 28 Days Later sequel if Danny Boyle comes back. Tbh, one thing that "disappointed" me about 28 Weeks Later is after they found Alice I thought they were going to show the aftermath of what happens to people who were turned into zombies then returned to normal. Think of all that trauma they'd have to deal with. But turns out she was just immune and somewhat feral from isolation and PTSD. It wasn't a fake out or anything, just in my brain I thought for a minute that was the direction they were going.
