I really enjoyed that, the story was engaging. ๐
Ty for the video like always and LLAP!
I quite like the ship
I like the detail with the bioneural circuitry taking two weeks to learn the ship. It's not necessary to add that to the story but at the same time it makes a lot of sense.
Nova Class is in my top-10 favourite starships.
My only complaint is that the primary hull seems too small compared to the bulk of the rest of the ship and seems off balance to my eyes
I can see two problems with this class's Borg – type bioneural circuitry.
1) With each computer core more or less designing it's own pathways, this may mean that a computer core from one shup of the class may not work well in a ship of the same class.
2) With Starfleet's fear of Artificial Intelligence, would this not set off alarms in Starfleet if the computer core is deciding on its own about how to think?
Just a couple of thoughts.
A little bit of imagination, and a little bit of genius…… Well done indeed. Thanks for the content!!!
I wonder what a Neo Oberth class would be like. The Quasar is nice.
looks so awesome. I am still working on my concept of merging voyager b, defiant, and Prometheus classes together.
Constitution class rebuilt with borg reclamation tech??
Boom…that isssue with the core is what I needed to flush out my purto rico kit bash…USS Arecebo… a test bed starship with a n ambasidor class scaucer, integrated deflector, and tiny nacels, and a crew of 6-700 a massive impuse engine. new phasers…called pulse phaser arrays. allowing the ship to beam and cannon from the same outputs
Gentle reminder that you haven't done a beta canon video on the Hestia class yet. ๐
Neat! Never heard of this one. Cool story and design:) (Also, I love the idea of circuitry that needs to grow into its ship:)
Well done!
Can you do the SS Eleos XII?
Way back in the TNG Technical Manual, it was suggested that the then next Enterprise, E, could potentially be a Nova-class. Having seen this design of the Quasar-class now… itโd be kind of cool to see the Enterprise-H or I, in the mid-to late 25th century or early 26th century, be of this class.
A Battle Nova I love it
I wouldn't be surprised if the Star Trek: Academy series would have a science vessel like this assigned to it but in the 32nd Century!
Sooooo….the brain….jad to get up to speed…..with the ship…kinda like a…..baby๐๐ข๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ณ๐คจ๐!
love the idea of the ship's computer needing time to learn how to "walk" so to speak. learning its body as if it were a member of the biological crew.๐
A+ as always. For the ship and the back story.
I really dig this design. I definitely see it as a Picard era Nova Class but upgraded. Too bad we didn't see this on screen.
Great video! Have you done one on the Enterprise J? Universe class I believe?
Another beautiful ship and awesome video
I love the story as always, but the ship is so so ugly. I immediately said she looked like a cricket when I saw the side profile.
MOre Enterprise K, please!
how many crew does the ship require?
Other than the Quasar havig a shortened Nova-style saucer a little hard to take seriously as a descendant to the Nova-class design, but the idea of the advanced bio-neural circuitry slowly building an "understanding" of the systems a little like melding a Borg AI with the computer core. It sounds like she was designed based on; the Borg, Defiant-class, Prometheus-class, and Nova-class to make a small but dangerous vessel and wonder what a Quasar would be like if she'd been sent to the Delta Quadrant in place of the Equinox
