I've been to Fort Pickens and several places in St. Augustine back in grade school. I was allowed to touch the prison bars Geronimo supposedly bent in order to escape. They were in fact bent. We visited a lot of places during that field trip, I just can't remember names.
Been to The Alamo.
I love how well you promounce foreign names. Do you have someone who teaches you, or are you just that good?
Hearst Castle in southern California. It's not as old as these, but it's still pretty spectacular.
Love your lists! Did not know some of these forts. Always learn something from your lists, thanks! Oh yeah, I hear that a Happy Birthday to you is warranted. HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎂 🥳
How many on the list are actually fortresses and how many are castles? 🤨🤔
Oh….and you forgot Krak des Chevaliers! 😉
#26. Wherever my dad kept his stash of "Playboy" magazines 😉
I see Mike, I hit like
I always feel better when I see a new List 25 video
Thank you, List 25 team!
And you pronounce all things correctly? Just lol. I COULD NEVER PRONOUNCE ANy THING CORRECTLY ❤
I’ve been to the Tower of London and Edinburgh Castle.
Great another list 25😊 . Hi Mike 👋❤love it when i learn new things especially when it deals with history❤
India is full of one amazing fort after another and glad to see so many highlighted here. Two other Indian forts worth mention that I've seen are Kumbhalgarh near Udaipur, Rajasthan and Daulatabad in Aurangabad, Mahrasthra. Kumbhalgarh features the second longest intact course of a wall, which is only superseded by China's Great Wall. Kumbhalgarh's keep is perched high atop a steep hilltop. Daulatabad is a hill-made-fort with a moat wholly excavated from solid granite. Knowing how workers shaved off the side of the hill and went deep into the earth is extraordinary. Also the fort features a maze of stairways and hallways hewn inside the rock that lead atop to the keep.
Ahhh learn about the celts
I've been to a few pillow forts!
Been to Fort Snelling in Minnesota. Of historical significance but not on a part of what you listed.
I'm very impressed with Mike's meticulous pronunciation
Fort Henry; Kingston , Ontario! Never breached and still around today!
Hi Mike, surprised that the fortress built in what is now Istanbul around 1450 wasn't mentioned. Please forgive my butchering of the name, but I think it's Roumalar Hissari. It was built opposite the walls of Constantinople shortly before the siege of 1453, which ended the Roman empire of the east. It was primarily an artillery emplacement designed to supplement the other giant cannons which were instrumental in taking the city. It still stands.
I have been to Masada I got to see the sun rise probably one of the most beautiful sites I have ever seen.
Been to numerous of those, however many of those listed are not fortresses.
Couple of notes missed about Edinburgh Castle it is home to the Edinburgh Tattoo, an amazing museum of medieval suits of armor and last and most important it was built on an extinct volcano
I've been to Dover Castle, Windsor castle, and the Tower of London. Well done on pronunciation. It's the first time I have heard an American pronounce Edinburgh right.
We Now know that there was an Admiral Ackbar. "It's a Trap".
It’s bc ad not bce ce
To prove that I pay attention to the entire duration of all these videos: "So, have you ever been to any of these forts? If not, well…which ones HAVE you been to?" ???? Huh? Please explain this double question that causes the second question to ignore the answer to the first.🤣🤣🤣 BTW: I only pay this kind of detailed attention to videos I like. Keep up the great work!
👑🔥 Thank U 💛
Another informative show Mike! TY👍
Where was the Nuremberg castle? Or the citadel in Halifax. Both more impressive than Indian garbage
Wales has nothing on this list. So if you were here for Welsh castles look else where.
Edinburgh Castle sits on a rock, that is the remains of an extinct volcano. This has been known, since its rock was sampled by geologists.
What about Castillo de San Marcos?
