  1. I can remember going through the Haunted Castle at Great Adventure when I was young and getting a really bad feeling about it. It burned down shortly after.
My husband remembers the Ghost Train Tragedy at Luna Park well. He used to go there often. He was living near Sydney when it happened.

  2. Thanks Mike, for including Australia's Thunder River Rapids Ride. I still remember that dayπŸ˜”. That ride doesn't exist anymore, tho the theme park is still open. The theme park was fined a large sum of money because if the horrific disaster only a couple of years ago. It has been said that the people who had the task of 'cleaning up', needed counselling because of the horrific accident.

  3. The one about the kid going after his hat and getting decapitated is also the story of one of the ghosts in the show "crazy fun park" it's a decent show if anyone wants to look it up… It's about a kid whose best friend dies in the park and when the kid goes back he meets a bunch of ghosts each one with their own story… There's more too it then that but it's worth a watch

  4. We were at Pensacola Interstate Fair several years ago. We had just ridden the Himalayan. We then walked around for a bit. When we came back through, one of the carts from the Himalayan was laying out in the midway. One of the carnies told us that got flung out there.

  5. I was on a spinning ride with my sister it pulled a big chunk of hair out of my head after wrapping around the middle and pinning me to it
I remember screaming and crying for help dad noticed and the rode was stopped so I could be freed
I was left with a bald spot but the hair grew back
Never went near similar rides since as I feel I was very lucky

  7. Not really "Amusement park" but there was a group of kids who broke into a bobsled or luge run in an abandoned, former Winter Olympics area. I think it was either Utah or Canada. While they had done it before, there was a chain or something narrow and metal added in to keep people off. It was dark and they didn't see it when they pushed their sled down… 2 boys died. At least one was killed by being decapitated by the chain or w/e it was. The others got injured.

  8. I have ridden Coney Island’s Cyclone at least twice in my lifetime. I live in Brooklyn and Coney Island is around a half hour away, but on both times riding the coaster the positive-g forces I felt towards a bottom of the first two hills made it feel like I was being crushed which is probably how Mr. Shirasawa fractured his neck while riding and died 4 days later as mentioned in this video.

  9. There is a smaller amusement park called Lakeside in Colorado. It used to have a racetrack next to it. One day in 1988 a car went into the stands. Everyone who used to go there has said they were supposed to be there that day. I think one person died and others were injured.

Lakeside itself had one death on a rollercoaster, if I remember correctly. But I'm not an expert on the subject, so someone may correct me.

  10. Hi Mike, Heather from Iowa here. In Altoona Iowa next to Des Moines Iowa we have Adventure Land. 2 lovely coaster stories for you. The first time I ever rode a coaster it was called The Tornado. A wooden coaster and I was small. We get to the top of one of the hills and going down I nearly fell out. My relative had to pull me from mid air back into the ride, nice/not. #2 was a rickety and OLD metal coaster. This one I can't remember the name anymore but when riding, you could visibly see bolts shaking and feel like the coaster was going down with me in it. Scraping and horrible sounds as well as seeing the ride literally almost fall apart while riding. Not designed like that but it was an OLD one. Love Heather from Iowa.
