The Vadoma Tribe of Zimbabwe are unique among other African Tribes. The legend says that Bird Gods came down from the sky and married their women, leading this tribe to have ostrich-like feet. In this adventure, we travel to the remote north of Zimbabwe to investigate if the legend is true.

Those people are not even in the Zimbabwean history. You're the first person to highlight them.!!!
Gumbo
educative documentary…as a medical student at MIDLANDS STATE UNIVERSITY IN GWERU, studying the Vadoma people will help me understand medical genetics in as far as the condition known as ectrodactyly is concerned…thanks Mike for this.

Mamukasei 👏🏿 mamukasei 👏🏿
Wooow finally you visited my Doma people. At least they are getting used to more visitors.First visitors from back then failed to see them they would run away and even leave their homes to start new homes.
Oh my, i can't eat a rat😢
The real reason why Africans were moved into villages to grow corn in the name of "conservation" was in order to privatise and monitize wildlife for tourism. Enriching colonialists . Africans lived alongside their wildlife before western invasion distablised everything. Lets just say before colonialisation non of our animals were endangered.
I really enjoyed this video. Amazing people. I’m very sad when people are forced from their lands for so called greater good.
I think the only people who can answer that last question are the tribe members themselves.
Proudly Zimbabwean, warms my heart to see our home and culture appreciated.
Theyve never seen white folk before
Mamukasei mukoma Mike! really great production, especially your connection with the people and your friend Brighton. I feel kinda sad that they may be the last generation of two toed people, somehow their uniqueness makes them special, like savants.
I am pro education but I worry that they may be ridiculed for being different, some people are so insensitive, hopefully the local governments/ chiefs will do more to protect them as they integrate into mainstream society and we should also do more research to understand this genetic condition.
Otherwise Mike you rock! Ramba wakadaro🎉🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼
***by the way, I was trying to figure out your accent the whole time😂now I know, Canadian English is cleaner than US English it doesn’t have the draw😂😂😂😂 I couldn’t put my finger on it lol nice accent
This is from inbreeding 😢
A long time ago, an English explorer stayed with the pygmies in Congo and then came to our girl guides association to give a talk. It was so interesting, l fell in love with africa and have always wanted the BEST for them. Do it africans, show the world You CAN.
I keep laughing at how he is describing the whole process😂😂😂
The gov. Should help. Giving the their own tribe lands for agriculture. How can a village feed on rats when Africa has so many wild life. Help them Jesus. Dancing and happy. My God is creator of all nations and tongues.
Many diverse culture beyond ordinary imagination within Africa, the birth place of mankind, black people is so receptive, kind and welcoming to visitors,no wonder they are so exposed to danger and exploitation from the outside world who is fearful out of ignorance, greed and the need to supress and control what they don't understand, simple an intresting world
Wow Mike well said, what about the people 🙌
See I always say men have more strength than woman.
8 woman could not push the tractor.
Nice church setting. Thank U.
I wish people cared as much about other people as they do about Elephants. I ❤elephants, but how are we okay just forcing other humans to move from their ancestral homelands?
Mike please visit really cold places
I like you, imagine that someone finally admits that people are more important than animals. Thank you, Sir.
Are there any initiatives to give back their ancestral lands? ❤
Thuts how things happened when colonisers came
Health wise you would think for the better
Need to come to Belize 🇧🇿
Absolutely brilliant video hear bro thanks for your time to upload👊
True fallen angles breeded with women and animals
In New Zealand it is called crab claw. I think, My friend had the same on his hands
1. I love the way you appreciate every culture, their practices, way of life, and their food. Never judging, never calling any primitive.
2. We get to know so much about our world. Information.
3. People might wish that the two-toed generation should continue because its not a disability and doesn't hinder them from anything… but then again would that not be selfish coz the only reason is so that we could get to see them – like they are some sort of tourist attraction….
4. Great job
These people were not poor . In fact they were displaced out of their original homes to allow animals conservation. And draconian laws were put in place to stop them using their original survival means. These are nomadic hunter gatherers. What happens if you stop a nomadic person from practicing their ways? They become poor and starve?
