Nice story lmao Afridi tribes men without any sophisticated weapons and there total population wasn't even ten thousands at that time lol but anyways Sikh were fighting for colonists cause and Afridi were for freedom the rest is history we know the outcome.

A very entertaining but sadly historically silly movie – for starters the bad guys were not Afghans but Orakzai tribesmen (it was their territory after all), the fort was really no more than a small blockhouse, quite tiny and without the high walls and size of the one in the movie. There were 21 kesaris plus a 22nd man – their camp follower, also a Sikh, who provided water and served out ammunition before dying with a rifle by his side. There are numerous other errors but fans are advised to buy the book" 21 Kesaris",available in India, or my own," The Jubilee War: The British Raj, Afghanistan and the Great Frontier Rebellion 1897-98". And let me say the British NEVER thought Sikhs would run away – numerous Sikh regiments had served in the British-Indian Army since 1849 and the regiment concerned was the 36th Sikh Regiment led by a very proud Brit, Colonel John Haughton, who adored his men (as they did him).
