The Kia Sportage and the Mazda CX-50 are closer in comparison. But people have cross-shopped this based on price and trim levels.
Jen. We often teach public speaking / sales / lecturing, by having students stand in front of a mirror, constantly smiling and speaking continuosly for a few minutes about a subject they know nothing about. They must not pause or use interjections like "you know" (which you use a LOT), "like", "ummm", "uh", etc. Try it.
Cx 50 turbo makes 250 hp with 93 octane 227 with 87
Mazda looks more refined, but I like the forward thinking approach of the Kia interior design.
"Plenty of leg room and head room in the back", sure, if you are 5'4"… Now put Andre back there.
We have a sorento, love it!
👏👏to tfl Jenn is a professional reviewer she does not miss a beat in presenting vehicles,an she is easy to follow ,looks good too 🇨🇦👋🏻🫣
Mazda over Kia all day. I’ll take a non-hybrid powertrain always. *Mazda has a non-turbo model and Kia has a non-hybrid model also
Kia is better in every way imaginable
RUMOR MILL ALERT: Honda and Nissan just started merger talks announced 20 minutes ago! Well Well Well! It looks like my Asian Financial Industry Expert Rumor SOurce has pulled through again!
Originally Honda was looking at Stellantis Books to get financial and manufacturing information via a MOM (Memorandum of Understanding) on the RAM and Jeep divisions which are/were being taken over by Honda!
…BUT… it looks like Honda has gone on to gobble up NISSAN! I am guessing that Honda wants Nissan's Light trucks line (i.e. Nissan Frontier!) to import-into or build-within the North American Market.
The announcement on multiple mainstream media sites was just made 20 minutes ago on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 11:00 am pacific time!

Mazda all the way Kia looks like box and lots of issues check oil consumption or Dual clutch transmission
1.6 tiny engine in such big car should last long
I also just asked my financial expert source and he replied REALLY QUICK in that he is certain that Honda is STILL looking into the financial and manufacturing books of RAM and Jeep and it seems Honda is STILL looking to buy those divisions from Stellantis and keep RAM and Jeep manufacturing in North America BUT change over the current 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder engines into Honda engines and add more Honda hybrid engine technology to those truck lines! It seems Honda is going on a buying spree and is NOT DONE YET as more MORE car companies are going to be gobbled-up into the Honda fold!
Again, Honda and Nissan are in Merger talks as of today Dec 17, 2024 and it looks like Honda is STILL looking into the financial books of RAM and Jeep!

What kind of comparison is this?? Kia is nothing but a pile of junk, everyone knows that
I'd choose the CX-50 over the Kia. Mazda suspensions give you more road feel, which I prefer in a vehicle like this. Also, a nicer interior.
MAZDA ALL DAY
Mazda is far better
It's very easy. Kia Sorento. 👍
I had the CX 50 as a rental in Denver last week.
It wasn’t bad at all.
Piano black… Car makers dont listen to the public, piano black its piano plack for a week, then becomes, ssfl scratch surface for life.
So, to answer your own tag line, the KIA you are saying is more compliant for a family. As it will ride softer and have more cargo volume, with more tech.
I really love the Mazda's traditional dashboard.. Love the Mazda's traditional dial gauge cluster, traditional shifter.. I love the LESS tech in the Mazda.. But I'm 6 foot tall.. And Mazda blew it with the very low roofline, and cramped interior.. and lack of interior room, poor outward visibility and a very stiff ride. That is a shame – these have been a major problems with Mazda suvs for many, many years. Mazda doesn't seem willing to fix these major issues..
The same class?…. CX50 competes with the Sportage 😅 come on, do better.
apples and oranges cx5o versus sportage not sorento,
why didn't you compare hybrid to hybrid instead of ice-turbo to HEV ?
Mazda is more refined than the Kia.
the cx-50 and sorento are not the same class.
Which one is cheaper and gives you more bang for your buck?
My wife and I bought a 2023 sorento and have loved have had a great experiences with it and so far no problems
Kia/Hyundai have a whole government just dumping money into them to sell well and be big, yet their products are literal dumpster fires.
Why are we calling cars “she”? 😂
Can cars identify as something other than a car? 🤷♂️
The cx-50 is a compact not a mid size. The just discontinued cx-9 or the new cx-90 would be a better match.
Mazda made in japan vs Korea if im correct
Good review. I like knowing how a vehicle rides more than how fast it can go or how fast you can take a corner.
Mazda!
Is his content for women? None of this appeals to me.
CTFU @ peasant blockers 🤣🤣 Great review
The Mazdas hood front bumper gap is huge 😂holy cow
MAZDA ALL TIME….
Nice review 👍 mazda is mine pick👍
Personally the Mazda looks better. Engines are more reliable too. Plus its a nice size. But it sure is funny how the ONLY Color choice every manufacturer. Unless true high-end bespoke companies. Are a variation of bla Blue flake(not even real metallics anymore)or some variation of bla orange red. Like how Red! Fire engine Red! Lol add a teeny tiny bit of Pizazz, which goes a long way. From the sea of bla colors most automanufactuers are choosing. Chiefly for "cost saving measures" 🥱🤮🤢
