  1. Watching from ground zero-LA it’s as bad as you are probably seeing in your geographic location. The trauma is palpable. Prayers and kindness needed.
So much hatred spewing. Blame blame everywhere. The good people continue to be good & generous of heart as always.

  2. i used to blame the people who fell into the interpretation that the plague was a divine judgement ,then came up with the wild idea ,that to get god off their back they had to go and kill a heap of jews. after seeing how homes on the ocean side of the highway totally destroyed i found myself thinking "gee god went out of his way to destroy these homes " somebody must have done something really bad ,to get god so motivated to go after them so much "
i now realise more ,from the thoughts i had ,how an unfounded foolish conjecture can get in a population and become "fact ".
the same thing happened with the great lisbon earthquake 1755

now that aside .ed i've got a question about prayer. because i prayed the other night on some comment that god would bring some rain, which hasn't happened yet. and has got me thinking .
am i just making an ineffectual noise when i pray .how do i know?.
bevington in "remarkable miracles" spent a lot of time praying to get the green light before he started praying for somebody. do we need to do that. because in my book it's worse than useless if we pray and nothing happens .
    got any clues ?
i noticed the kendrick brothers [war room ] mum' tells a story about her mum praying for protection for her and the kids and the house in a tornado ,and apparently her house was 1 of a very few left standing . {great story]
also this is something i noticed [it might be totally coincidental] that during our aussie bushfires a few years ago ,no rain seem to come untill the rest of the world [especially in the states ] found out and got into praying for us .
i know prayer works "on occasion" because it's worked for me .you can feel it go in .
do we have to be fervent and intense as what's coming against us [like mrs kendrick's mum ;she was into it no hold's bared ] and then we have some remarkable testimony's from vera dowling from the war and when she became a canadian citizen . she was really intense .

  3. here's my trumpy comment . i'm nearly scared to ask what you think ,but in for a penny in for a pound . i might learn something useful even if it is a rebuke .

an aussie here with my 2 cents work.

this can be a glorious opportunity for the states .and can have a great outcome if we do a few things with all our heart .

    1. pretty much most of us are agreed [except for the MAGA people who see him as their saviour and the other people who are going along to get along and bowing to the king because they don't see any alternative] this man is demonstrating how corrupt he is and it's going to get worse as he gets more power and opportunity to abuse it.

he's conned a lot of people without conscience to try and get his own needs met .

i concur with david k johnston's assessment where he believes he's seen behind the curtain of the trump show ,into the ugly dare i say fleshly heart and mind .

also i've done a lot of praying for trumpy over the years because i've had a huge burden for him. and when you pray for a person you can get insights into what's going on under the bonnet/hood.

now to participate in my/i believe god's solution and get a great outcome .

have a think about this because it's important .

do you believe prayer for a person can change them .their heart and mind . ?

if you don't this is probably not for you ,unless you want god to show you.

why do you think scripture says to "pray for those that use and abuse you"

so they can be changed and saved from themselves . .

i'm talking about full on ,no holds bared ,with fasting if need be . by a lot of people in unity.

how about we pray against this stronghold that's got trumpy in it's grip [he needs to be saved from himself] ,so he can get free and be the person he ideally could be . and even a great president with a servant ,compassionate ,empathetic, for others apart from himself .

to a lot of scoffers who think i'm off with the fairies even considering this, just remember god can change sinners into saints . have a look at margy palms testimony with a huge sinner serial killer stephen morin who'd killed about 30 women . it's on sid roth .

so i believe this is doable . and in my view about the only chance you people and the rest of the world have to avoid much unnecessary pain with a capital P.

because when people like this get the bit between their teeth they usually take a heap of people with them over the cliff.

so lets do something to avoid this ,instead of looking at it after the event .after all the damage has been done.

  4. To Rebecca and all the others who feel depressed, self- loathing, hopelessness and helplessness, I was there. The first time, I reached out in desperation and started seeing a therapist. One of the best things I ever did. There are other people who care about you or will when they get to know you. Really.
Several years after I got my life together, a variety of circumstances and a few innocent mistakes took me to such a dark place that I decided to check out early. But when I woke up alive, I reached out for help again and began to slowly rebuild my life. My efforts were so worth it and life is very good again. But I for one need supportive positive people in my life. I have learned the value of creating and maintaining a loving support system which includes physical and spiritual self-care and remembering to be patient with myself. The right kind of change takes time. Love to you. You may feel alone, but you're not really. ❤

  5. Thank you for speaking out and up on this topic, the one towards the end on these two 'preachers' who are leading whatever flock they think they have down the wrong road. I've been giving a lot of thought about the Beatitudes and how to apply them lately (not that I ever haven't, but I have been meditating on them more lately because of obvious reasons)

Two questions come to mind that you may want to talk about. That is if you feel the Holy Spirit leading!
One: How would Fred Rogers lead? He is a good role model to have. I would bet that he wouldn't be allowed near a church if he were still around today!
Two: how are Christians viewed in the media? We literally have to tell people that "I'm a Christian, but not the MAGA kind" At least I do. I get so angry when people are equating God and trump. I can only imagine it grieves the Holy Spirit more.

Sometimes when I pray, I ask God why he allows the mockery? There's a lot of answers to that, but I'm throwing this out to the universe for further discussion. I know Revelation tells us that this will happen, but you'd think God would put a stop to it. He can do whatever he wants of course! But maybe he's just waiting for more of us to get together with a louder voice.

These are just some thoughts that I have. Every time I've had questions, listening to your preaching has helped answer them. Thank you for your ministry. In the same way as Queen Esther, you're here for such a time as this. To lead and preach the true Gospel

  7. 52:57 I'm sorry, but his is just such a bad take. "Never pray for patience" – because we all know God is that angry stern father who says things like, "I'll give you something to cry about!" I find it hard to believe that Rev hasn't thought this through more. Someone going through something and praying or asking for "patience" is asking for help and compassion – it would be a cruel God (that American Evangelicals and Republicans LOVE!) that's going to start playing word games and ignore the person's actual plight and not realize the actual reasons for the prayer. Better not slip up in that prayer – or God will get you!!! AND, he's going to make the person's problems LAST LONGER just to teach them that lesson. That's a God that would give a stone to someone who asked for bread if they didn't order from the menu in just the proper way!

  8. A toxic culture for funds someone to blame for these tragedies. Let’s pray for the ones with loss and those fighting, risking their lives to rescue those missing and pray for the resources to be available for those in need of a place to live.
