A message from NAS Oceana’s Commanding Officer, Captain Steve Djunaedi:
We are proud to offer the 2024 NAS Oceana Air Show, featuring the Navy’s premiere flight demonstration team, the Blue Angels, and the F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team! The NAS Oceana Air Show, which is free and open to the public, is our chance to give back to our military families and our community. Each year, we are pleased to welcome visitors from across the country and around the world to the Navy’s East Coast Master Jet Base, to experience the wonder of flight firsthand and meet the exceptional men and women of naval aviation.
This year’s theme for the air show is Inspire. Educate. Soar! Our theme celebrates the young minds we hope to inspire through unparalleled flight demonstrations and hundreds of interactive STEM education engagements available for all to enjoy during the air show. Inspire. Educate. Soar! also highlights the thousands of local 5th graders who will attend the air show’s practice day during their STEM Education Field Trip on Friday, September 20.
Since 2016, every single 5th grader from all Virginia Beach City Public Schools has been invited to Apollo Soucek field for an exclusive sneak peek of the NAS Oceana Air Show as our performers practice, while engaging with our STEM Laboratory exhibits. This year, for the first time ever, we will also welcome 5th grade students from all Chesapeake Public Schools! This will be one unforgettable field trip for kids across Hampton Roads.
We look forward to shaping the next generation of aviators, explorers, and leaders at the 2024 NAS Oceana Air Show. Don’t miss it!

In the 90s, The CF 18 did a complete circle in the boundaries of the airfield in High Alpha. Very impressive.

Question is there a website to buy a blue angels patch I messaged the blue angels on instagram but they haven’t replied yet
What song did the Suffolk team jump to? Can you post the music list or the link for the music list at the event?
Hello from Richmond. We were there yesterdays d our family loves this show.
What happened to the feed?
NO CHAT ON DAY 2 ….TURN CHAT FOE DAY 2
What a fantastic day yesterday was!!! I'm 61 and haven't been to an air show since I was grade school age. I was so excited for this, and was not disappointed at all. This show was so exciting, fun, and beautiful. And we lucked out with gorgeous weather. It's sad to see on the day 2 feed how cloudy it is today.
Every single act was incredible, the announcers were great, and the whole production was well paced. Of course, the Blue Angels were beyond incredible. They're a pure class and perfection organization.
Thank you so much to the Navy, NAS Oceana, and all of the volunteers and performers for providing this amazing event FOR FREE!!!!! It was a perfect day and I can't wait to go to another air show.
P.S. We spoke to a lot of Navy personnel all day, including so many of them out directing traffic in the lots, and every single one was extremely friendly, polite, and helpful. The Navy can be very proud of how they all represented the Navy!
