2024 Kia Seltos Review: Better Than Ever

Cars.com’s editors recently pitted the refreshed 2024 Kia Seltos against five other affordable small SUVs in a direct comparison to thoroughly review the Seltos against the latest and greatest competition in its class. Managing Editor Joe Bruzek, News Editor Jennifer Geiger and Road Test Editor Brian Normile take you through all the ins and outs of what we like about the new Seltos — and there’s a lot to like about it.

The Seltos gets top marks for interior quality and, despite its high price, boasts a lot of features others can’t match. The updated optional turbocharged engine remains a big hit with our editors, and Kia’s decision to ditch the previous model’s dual-clutch automatic transmission for a traditional eight-speed automatic is also praiseworthy.

There’s not a lot we don’t like about the Seltos, but it’s worth noting that the turbo engine does get comparatively poor fuel economy and the Seltos lacks some more common features (it still isn’t available with wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto smartphone connectivity, for example).
