The 2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio ($99,840 starting in Canada, $83,465 starting in the US) has seen some changes over the last few years, but how does it stack up against its much cheaper older sibling? The 2018 Giulia Ti ($15-20,000 USD) may only have the four-cylinder engine compared to the Quadrifoglio’s roaring 2.9 L twin-turbo V6, but it offers quite a lot in terms of driving experience and chassis dynamics for the price. Is the older Giulia Ti simply the bargain of the century? Or does the new Quadrifoglio have the features and the allure you simply can’t live without? Thomas and James are excited to spend some time with these two Alfas. We hope you enjoy the episode. And then subscribe, silly.
Massive thank you to Jordan, Brad and the team at Stellantis for making this happen. What legends. https://www.alfaromeousa.com/
And a huge thank you to S.S. Autogroup for allowing us to feature their used Giulia Ti

Same old boring 'Alfa Romeo' unreliable media trash. The so called 'reliable' german cars break down regularly. I've had my Giulietta for 6 years and I only had to replace my intercooler. At least my car turns heads where ever I go. Better design and styling than the boring, predictable and mundane Golf Gti equivalent.
Forza Alfa Romeo!!!!❤
Atleast this car is pretty unlike bmw, (you should have tried a before shitlantis QV)
I fell asleep.
I had a 2019 Giulia Quadrifoglio as my first car. Absolutely loved it
I’m 23 and I’m torn between getting a corvette, Camaro or a Chevy SS. But man I NEED to know more about these Guilias! They are so beautiful. Do yall recommend this over a Chevy SS?
"James is an idiot" cuts to advertisement lol
It's not the battery. It's an issue with the harness for the battery.
My 2019 Giulia has 33k miles on it and has only had one problem. The sunroof was replaced under warranty. I even still have the original battery with zero issues. Don't tell my warranty company the car has been on the track…
Still didn't worth that +75k.
14:53 its kinda funny because it looks like they really did almost do 1 headlight per cylinder on the Tourbillon, but its a hybrid so they essentially did 16 headlights per cylinder and 8 headlights for almost 800 bhp from the electric motors. James is right😂. And yes, i did look up a picture of the actual Tourbillon instead of the photoshopped Chiron from the video.
Ireland.
Giulia Veloce 280hp Misano Blue 2020 to now.
Giulia SuperSport Vulcano Black 2019 – 20.
Giulietta SuperSport Misano Blue 2018 – 19.
Not a single problem. 6 years of loving my Alfas. Fabulous machines. ❤❤❤❤
I can confirm that the Giulia Veloce never works. Constant problems for 6 yrs. Love it to bits but couldn't rely on it.
I’ve wanted this beautiful car for so long now. Hopefully one day I will find a reasonably priced Quad. It’s all about the driving experience for me and I’d love a rear wheel drive. Currently we have a GLA45 2019 which is also a blast
This car isn’t that popular because clarkson reviewed it. And killed it
I absolutely adore my 2019 Giulia Ti Q4!!! I would love to have a QV but the maintenance costs alone are prohibitive for me. $650 for an oil change? No thank you.
literally buying a used Gulia after watching this video
Customer had a brand new 2025 SUV Alf he couldn’t use it because it needed an update the dealer could access with a pin. When he called, they wouldn’t give it to him. He was stuck with it being dead bricked in his driveway 2024! Worst part, no one there could do it so he couldn’t tow it in for a while. And towing it was terrible.
bought a Q4 Stelvio 36k miles for $16.5k USD. Also shares that same feeling in the steering and every owner raves about how reliable they've been (besides the oem battery). Mine has't had any issues yet, great cars.
Had a Alfa for three years it went to the shop once.
Y’all should take the 24 nismo out on the track
Nothing is more expensive than a cheap car
I'm wondering…. There is a usual 'Alfa be unreliable' story in the video and a flock of people in the comments who claim theirs had no issuess. Is it a bias of them feeling the need to prove what everyone says is wrong or J&T confirmation bias? Anyway, it would be good to quote some reputable reliability reports as a car journalist instead of 'I had some friends message me on Instagram'. Duh.
Sidenote, I'm not sure what's wrong with the interior. Yes it's the same design as 8 years ago (the exterior too, this didn't seem to bother anyone despite being more notoceable imo) but it's GOOD. Physical controls, nice dash, the screen is integrated into the design instead of sticking out like a sore thumb, what's not to like?
2.0 giulia can have active suspension and lsd, it depends on trim
I don't even know the new and the old one 😢 finding so hard
I've owned 42 Classic Alfas . FCK the naysayers , these cars take the uncertainty out of dating and I love every minute of them . They're also worth a small fortune now . Who would have thought ?
Awesome video, Absolutely love the Giulia. Nice to see redriven mentioned.
It looks so derpy
Thumbs down just because the use of the old reliability urban myth.
Sick and tired of that sh*t
I bought my Quadrifoglio 6-speed manual new in 2018 and loved it at the beginning. Several smaller issues where fixed during warranty but twice it completely drained the battery for unknown reasons. The rear diff was noisy when cold and the shifter rattled above 260 km/h. All accepted but then the BCM (Body Control Module) died after 5,5 years and 66.000 kms only and the car stood still. It took three months to replace with horrible communication from the factory and zero cost coverage although all services were completed and the BCM failure due to internal corrosion was a known problem. Fantastic car but in that price segment I'd expect better customer treatment. I now have an Alpina B4 Gran Coupe and love it even more.
