  1. When deciding for me; it came down to the Street Triple RS, KTM 890 Duke R, Aprilia Tuono 660, and Yamaha MT-09 SP. It was agonizing! I ended up with the KTM 890 Duke R. The biggest thing…I found a good dealio. But…I already have a KTM 1190 Adventure R (I also have a Triumph Bonnevillie Speedmaster)…I like and familiar with parallel twins. I've never had a triple. It was difficult and I still wonder, "what if…" No matter the choice, I'd still be left with that question. I forgot another thing that attracted me is the turn radius of the KTM. Having ridden my 890 Duke R quite a bit…I will say it makes me look like a much better rider than what I probably am!

  2. After seeing the difference felt by 44teeth when using triumphs track settings for suspension. I wonder if that would bring it closer to the ktm in the Twisties. Great video guys ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

  3. After all the issues i had with my 2022 1290SDR, MTC Failure 7 times, Indicator switch broke off, Fuel & coolant leaks, brake switch failure, left me zero confidence to venture anywhere. The handling & power become irrelevant when something is so poorly made. You either get a reliable KTM or never ending issues. Not good enough

  4. Iโ€™d get the Triumph even though I do love the bikes KTM builds and they feel more at home with their seating position. The Triumph Iโ€™d have to get risers because the bars are too low for me. Iโ€™ve gotten way too use to the more relaxed feeling of my gen 3 MT-09. The Triumph is just so beautiful to look at and I love my in-line 3โ€™s. Also it has the option of cruise control.

  5. Fun comparison. I was all set to get the KTM earlier this year based on such reviews… until I went to the showrooms. Looks like something you'd find in ToysRUs

  6. I've got a Street Triple RS MOTO2, would love to hear your opinion on that vs the KTM. The suspension is a lot better then the standard RS, looks so much nicer with the carbon fiber! Let me know if you want to review it Chops.

  8. Interesting that all the comments say Triumph which is an unfortunate reflection on item build quality and reliability ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ. I rode the big brothers of each of these back to back and would have to agree however the Speed Triple was the more complete package and would get my money

  9. Great comparison Chopsy / Greg.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜ both look great fun , and shows that's more than enough power for real road fun. That ktm is fast , triple looks better in my view and both sound sweet .๐Ÿ‘that scrolling on dash for different settings spoils both bikes and most modern bikes.๐Ÿ˜ฎ

  10. That 5 mins chat about looks when you think about it was a bit irrelevant really, you're not buying them as art pieces they're made to ride not necessarily stand and admire ,when you're barrelling through the Twisties the last thing on you mind is how the bike looks, those ktms aren't to everyone's liking but go ride 1 any 1, even the baby duke 200 will surprise people

  11. Its actualy interesting how you 2 think of the duke to have a better feeling front end when actual racers and people in the field of racing and setting up bikes dont realy like it due to its long travel and high bars, how 2 worlds collide, well thats why youre hobby revievers and they are the pros. But yeah, both are fantastic bikes in their own rights, the duke more as a fun playful thing made to be a big supermoto and the street triple as a more serious best of both worlds (track+street) bike.

  12. Just been away for 9 days riding in the Picos mountains with 4 street triple RS. My 21 plate and friends 23 new model were the fast ones out of the 4. Just comparing a few things side by side, new bike has a cheapo anodised aluminium clutch span adjuster, like itโ€™s off a crappy Suzuki, mine has a lovely steel adjuster, olive green coated. The new bike plastic tank cover doesnโ€™t seem as premium as the steel tank on mine, the rad cowl covers are ugly on the new. Tank range differences donโ€™t affect anything in a group.

  13. keep hearing this nonsense from youtubers and motorcycle journo's say "you dont need more than 130bhp motorcycles for the road" (but he owns a kawa ninja H2), while sports car drivers ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.
What if governments enforce law which restrict all sports motorcycle for road use to only 130 bhp because youtubers, motorcycle journo's keep saying "you don't need more than 130 bhp for road use"
Becareful of what you wish for !
