Any new major drones coming out in 2023? Probably NO. We just had some HUGE releases from DJI, the Mavic 3 last year and the Mini 3 Pro. Both of these were a giant step up from the model before each, so give it some time before a major sensor, camera, or performance upgrade.
That’s why we see things like the Mini 3 Regular and the Mavic 3 Classic, these are intermediate releases to keep people happy, add some small upgrades, lower the price without having to stay totally silent while they develop newer stuff.
This is for Camera Drones, not FPV or Amazon toy drones btw.
We haven’t seen a DJI Air upgrade since 2020 (can you believe that) I’m expecting this one to be the next in the lineup. Even just a color profile change would be nice.
The issue is, is there really any technology improvement they can add that is worth making a new version?
Every new DJI launch has added something massive (Mavic 2 to Mavic 3, Mini 2 to Mini 3) and since the Air 2S is focused on balance between convenience and performance, its like they can’t really add much to one without hurting the other.
It would make sense in there schedule to come out with SOMETHING for the Air, and it is justified because it did sell really well and people love it.
Not too excited for Autel, think they kind of blew their load with the Nano Plus launch, because of the jankiness, bad flight controls, and price it makes me think they released it early to get any sales they could and not loose out of the market totally when the Mini 3 Pro came out soon after. Great low-light though.
I loved the Evo II Pro picture (not the flying) so I’d be interested in an Evo III if there was ever interest in Autel making a 4/3″ sensor model but we will have to keep waiting. They seem to be leaning toward enterprise because they are doing well in that area and no geo-fencing is nice.

I've just sold my Mini 2, and bought the Mavic 3 Classic. It turned out to be too loud and heavy for my use so I returned it. Now should I get the Mini 3 Pro or wait for the Air 3? Thanks in advance.
No need to upgrade the Air 2S. As a “prosumer” myself, I don’t think there is much else needed for it. Probably holding for a few years unless they completely change it. Thanks for the great videos. 🤙🏼

Inspire sucks ass to fly. Mavic 3 image quality is much better but doesn’t have a 50mm equivalent.
I NEEEEED a good 50-80mm lens. Makes things so much more professional.
100% agree with an Air 3 coming next! I happen to only own the air2s, and I still love it! Would need to be significant upgrades on the air 3 for me to want to upgrade! Always love watching your videos bro!
What about autel lite+. It's direct competitor for air2s even something more close to Mavic 3 classic. Why you didnt mention that? It's good drone

I'm going to buy my first drone, I need it to see location of sheep on a mountain. I don't really need to record footage but need something that's able to fly in windy conditions and show me a decent image on screen without having to watch it back afterwards. I'm thinking about the dji mavic 3 classic with smart screen

I have a DJI Air 2 and I don’t use it that much just recreationally (total ~60hr in that last 2 yrs) but I hate getting setup with my phone being the controller screen (phone calls, music, texts and my phone with case don’t fit in the DJI grips). I was thinking about upgrading to a Mini 3 pro with the DJI controller. Do you think I will be missing anything or notice a difference?
Just wanted to share, I accidentally bought the mini 3 and I was about to suck it up and just no bother refunding/returning but then I just saw your video then I proceeded to process my return/refund to get the "Pro" version. Good thing I didnt even touch the package when it arrived
Can you please do a camera comparison between the m3c and the air2s, there are only a few of them on yt and they are all garbage
There might be a mavic 3s coming out, with improved main camera and better sensor for telelens.
