Nice
Broncos are way too loud from wind at highway speed, even with the hard top.
OMG that noise. This is literally worse than Chinese cars.
Lease. Buy Toyota.
My spouse had one as a work rental car for like 2 weeks and it was absolutely not my favorite. I know it’s made for off roading but maybe the model we had was soooo rough on the road, our 10 speed also was very rough shifting (could have been since it was a rental) we did have the smaller engine so that could have been that! Ours was super loud too, I was shocked. Not my fav
I would pick the 4Runner as the Bronco is too loud
I wanted to love the Bronco and I was so excited to drive one, until I drove one and found out it’s definitely not what I want. Steering is terrible, transmission is slow to respond, and the overall quality is not there for the price they command.
if you want something like this, but, for daily normal living, get the lexus gx
Never is a Ford better than a Landcruiser…..never.
how many editions does the bronco have
My opinion as a Toyota fanboy, coming out of a GX460, is that the Bronco's shortcomings are worth the fun factor. I bought a 2023 Wildtrack with all the bells and whistles. The tire noise and feel are definitely there, but not annoying. The roof noise in mine is not bad at all, but I have the sound deadening liner. We'll see if the rood gets creaky over time. My one criticism of the vehicle is that it should have come from the factory with mud flaps. The tires chuck rocks and gravel like no ones business. I have only driven on road so far and have a ding in on of the quarter panel already from a piece of gravel. Am I terrified of reliability? Yes. However, the dealer told me it will be at least a 2 year wait for the new GX, so I'll trade it in when they become available. Or if I like it, I'll keep it. Win, win.
I wanted to like the Bronco having previously owned a Wrangler JLUR, Gx460 and 2 4Runners. They aren’t built as well for stock off-road like the Jeep, and they aren’t nearly as good on road like a 4Runner or Gx.
Modified I still like the 4Runner or Gx better.
Kirk, The only thing that makes the Bronco 'better' than its Toyota competition is the presence of a basic, two door model priced thousand$ less than a 4Runner and Ford's farsighted decision to offer a M-A-N-U-A-L when the Bronco was reborn. Hopefully these Bronco (and Wrangler) advantages will be eliminated when the new Land Cruiser FJ and 4Runner arrive. 😉🤞🤞🤞
Ford’s quality control will never compare with Toyota. I will always pick Toyota over Ford.
The crash safety on these Broncos is horrifying
It’s a ford. Not even just saying that. They get recalled monthly. Plus it’s ugly. Plus when I saw one of these in person I was shocked how it looked like Walmart tried to make a jeep. These things are trash even amongst murican trash.
NOT EVEN CLOSE……
These are nice, but a wrangler is way better off-road and a 4Runner/LC is more plush.
Needs a V-8 maybe someone can do an engine swap.
Ford. The best advertisement for Toyota ever.
Sincerely
A former Ford owner.
Why review a lemon? It doesnt matter what it is on papar in reality its a lemon.
Squeak and rattle awaits in 2 years! Sorry, never would own a Ford!
My issue with these is the price. Broncos and Jeeps are WAY too much money for the amount of car that you get which honestly isn't much. The price wouldn't be so bad if it was a Toyota, given that Toyotas are actually dependable
Anything that isn’t a Toyota or Honda, doesn’t exist.
This includes Ford and their cars. When it to comes to buying a car, it’s about an automaker’s honesty and competence to provide a reliable car.
Kirk, if you haven't….would love to see your thoughts on a manual 2 door Bronco
I had an NB1 Miata, and oh boy was the road noise loud. We have a two door Bronco Black Diamond and it’s a lot quieter than that so I’m not complaining with road noise lol
I’d take a Y61 Patrol super safari
If you think the Bronco is better than the new Land Cruiser, please by all means buy one instead of the Land Cruiser. Leave the Land Cruisers for me.
Ford POS. Why don't you tell the truth about how unreliable the Bronco is.
I can't believe people get excited about those.
Overpriced, rattley plastic box. Those windows are crap and the windshield will always be cracked.
Ridiculous
That Bronco engine will have catastrophic failure 250,000 miles before a 4runner's 4.0 V6 has any minor issues 😂. Ford isn't even in the same league as Toyota.
To the point of who would step where it says “no step”: my kids! They walk through that spot in my FJ all the time. 🙂 nice thorough review Kirk. I think the bronco is great for what it is. It’s not meant to be quiet. It’s meant to be fun.
It would be an epic surprise if the next 4Runner is optioned with a removable softtop and doors just to compete head-to-head with the Jeep and Bronco. Come on Toyoto do it
No Everglades available – not around me
