  1. My spouse had one as a work rental car for like 2 weeks and it was absolutely not my favorite. I know it’s made for off roading but maybe the model we had was soooo rough on the road, our 10 speed also was very rough shifting (could have been since it was a rental) we did have the smaller engine so that could have been that! Ours was super loud too, I was shocked. Not my fav

  2. I wanted to love the Bronco and I was so excited to drive one, until I drove one and found out it’s definitely not what I want. Steering is terrible, transmission is slow to respond, and the overall quality is not there for the price they command.

  3. My opinion as a Toyota fanboy, coming out of a GX460, is that the Bronco's shortcomings are worth the fun factor. I bought a 2023 Wildtrack with all the bells and whistles. The tire noise and feel are definitely there, but not annoying. The roof noise in mine is not bad at all, but I have the sound deadening liner. We'll see if the rood gets creaky over time. My one criticism of the vehicle is that it should have come from the factory with mud flaps. The tires chuck rocks and gravel like no ones business. I have only driven on road so far and have a ding in on of the quarter panel already from a piece of gravel. Am I terrified of reliability? Yes. However, the dealer told me it will be at least a 2 year wait for the new GX, so I'll trade it in when they become available. Or if I like it, I'll keep it. Win, win.

  4. I wanted to like the Bronco having previously owned a Wrangler JLUR, Gx460 and 2 4Runners. They aren’t built as well for stock off-road like the Jeep, and they aren’t nearly as good on road like a 4Runner or Gx.

Modified I still like the 4Runner or Gx better.

  5. Kirk, The only thing that makes the Bronco 'better' than its Toyota competition is the presence of a basic, two door model priced thousand$ less than a 4Runner and Ford's farsighted decision to offer a M-A-N-U-A-L when the Bronco was reborn. Hopefully these Bronco (and Wrangler) advantages will be eliminated when the new Land Cruiser FJ and 4Runner arrive. 😉🤞🤞🤞

  6. It’s a ford. Not even just saying that. They get recalled monthly. Plus it’s ugly. Plus when I saw one of these in person I was shocked how it looked like Walmart tried to make a jeep. These things are trash even amongst murican trash.

  7. My issue with these is the price. Broncos and Jeeps are WAY too much money for the amount of car that you get which honestly isn't much. The price wouldn't be so bad if it was a Toyota, given that Toyotas are actually dependable

  8. Anything that isn’t a Toyota or Honda, doesn’t exist.
This includes Ford and their cars. When it to comes to buying a car, it’s about an automaker’s honesty and competence to provide a reliable car.

  9. To the point of who would step where it says “no step”: my kids! They walk through that spot in my FJ all the time. 🙂 nice thorough review Kirk. I think the bronco is great for what it is. It’s not meant to be quiet. It’s meant to be fun.
