  1. How different would it look to have a 9 year old just pointing at random plays versus the plays Hackett has been calling so far? Obviously that's an extreme illogical example because I think it's funny but it's actually an interesting thought process.

  2. History says the 0-2 team will bounce back. Every single player in the NFL knows what 0-3 means and none of them want anything to do with that. But this young Jets team seems to have bought in to what Saleh is preaching so they could just surprise everyone. The Bengals have got to get this fixed asap. If they don't, this young and hungry Jets team is going to beat them again.

  3. Carson Wentz is already known to be mentally 5'4" do you guys seriously think he won't collapse even more than usual against the guy whose draft selection is the reason he fell apart in the first place?

  4. The Bills destroyed the rams in an oppressive heat wave. It was 95 on the field. The bills beat the dolphins in September last season. They will be fine. The Dolphins are so overrated. They’ve played one good quarter on offense and Tua has had only one great game in his career and 90% of it was in one quarter. The ravens D is not the same D we are used to and were blowing coverages. The dolphins have most of the same D players and the same D coordinator they’ve had the last two seasons. Over those two seasons Allen has completely owned that D averaging 37 points a game. The idea that this coordinator is all of the sudden going to come with a game plan to stop this O now when it’s playing at even a higher level is delusional. The dolphins are not on the same level as the Bills injuries or not. The Bills are going to curb stomp them 38-17

  5. Exactly Steve. Some fans seem to start with the implicit assumption that NFL results are transitive – which as you note – is complete bollocks, because every element changes from game to game. For me that's the fun of the NFL – considering the nuance of weekly changes and trying to predict how they will affect results – location, match-ups, injuries, improvement of young players, schemes – etc.

  6. When Philly and Washington played last year in week 15 and 17, Washington was completely obliterated by injuries and covid. Week 15 Washington had to sign Garret Gilbert of the Patriots Practice Squad to play QB, with 14 starters and 7 assistant coaches out. Philly won by Ten. Week 17 Washington had Heinicke back BUT had a total of 21 players out with Injuries or covid. Philly was missing a LB and a RB, basically nobody, and Philly only won by 4.
For all the hype Philly is getting, from the offseason and through 2 weeks I think Washington's chances to win this are a lot better than people think.
I also think Carson Wentz's "Volatility" is being massively overstated. Yes he has 3 INTs so far, 1 was straight up on him, 1 was a freak play by Travon Walker that wasn't on Wentz at all and the third was a tipped pass by Logan Thomas that was a little high by Wentz but still could have been caught.
IDGAF about the grading he has been working great in this offense and really could have beat Detroit if the O-line hadn't played like complete trash the whole first half.

  7. Just to confirm: the Ravens did not blow the biggest lead in the last 10 years. That was the Falcons. Fins down 28-7, Pats down 28-3. Must be some regular season stat but I’m still not buying it if they can’t tell the whole truth.

  8. If I had to bet, that comeback 12 years ago was the eagles at the Giants in the miracle at the meadowlands when they came back down 35-10 with 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter. I was 12 when I watched that game. As a Giants fan I literally cried after that game it was that sad and pathetic LMAO 😂

  9. Sam has to continue with his "Patriots defense sucks" narrative because he baselessly kept proclaiming that this would be the worst defense Bellichick ever coached without providing any evidence. Even after they severely limited Waddle and Hill in the first week – as Steve brings up – he has to dismiss it because he's a stubborn ass.
