  1. I really like Zach. He absolutely nailed it when he compared himself to a substitute teacher though. Not a slight against him at all but he just looks like one and seems like one. But a really cool one.

  2. Another great review Zack! Very informative and entertaining. Can tell you know what you’re talking about especially that you’ve actually done track days. Look forward to more of these on the channel!

  3. As much as I can appreciate and enjoy videos from you…I always feel like I can fall asleep to your voice. I'm not sure if maybe just upping the decibels in post might help with that

  4. I’m pretty sure Mag Ride has never been a standard part of Z51, at least in the C8 generation. Also — the trim level is 2LT. The engine code is LT2. It’s stupid, but that’s the way it is.

  5. As a Manual transmission only household, I have somehow been curious about the C8. I get track driving is high engagement, but what about street driving? Is it boring since the performance is so high?
I think driving a manual really helps with that aspect of a sports car where it can be fun or enjoyable in day to day driving.

  6. Those Toyo 888R are absolute trash. When I bought my 987.2 Cayman S, those were on it (wrapping my HRE wheels). Noise was unbearable. Probably not as bad in the better insulated C8, but they were just awful. Traction wasn't anything special either. I ended up replacing them with PS4S because I couldn't get the Goodyear Supercar 3 (long national backorder) and the Cup 2 were a little more aggressive than I wanted. I can say, driving the car very aggressively on the Tail of the Dragon and other similar roads, the car felt just as fast on the PS4S as it did the 888R.

I did get caught in the rain with 888R, and it wasn't that big of a deal. I didn't hit any big standing water with it, but nothing I was overly concerned with. The noise, poor treadwear while not getting grip that should go with that was reason enough to never buy them. From some quick internet searching, the 888R is an old design that is mainly used for roll racers now, as there are just so many better options out there.
