  1. Thank you for reminding me about the Cowboys icing their own kicker. I had totally forgotten about that, but I was immediately transported back to my living room laughing hysterically. It’s one of the most Cowboys things the Cowboys have ever done

  2. Eli Manning was ripped to shreds by the media before that season started by claiming that he believed he was an elite QB. He then proceeded to completely carry the team with the worst ranked rushing attack and a bottom 5 defense to a Superbowl title by throwing over 4900 yards, leading six fourth-quarter comebacks, and breaking the record for most yards thrown in a single postseason. Say what you want about the rest of his career (mostly caused by playing behind a horrendous O-line for a decade), but for that season, he was absolutely elite.

  3. 2011 was great. 10yr anniversary of 9/11, a great draft class in all positions, the duo of Vronk and Hernandez was special. Victor Cruz was infectious, and the list goes on and on.

  4. To win the SB at the end of that 2011 season, is the reason why Eli Manning is the true GOAT. His 2011 season is still the second highest passing yardage season all time for a QB in a SB winning season (4,994 yards) and that record was just broken by Mahomes last season

  5. As a Browns fan living in Steelers Country, I will always respect Tebow for knocking the Steelers out of the playoffs this season. I found a clearance Broncos shirt and wore it out to the local bar and watched the Steelers weep after the loss

  6. As a giants fan in 8th grade during the 2011 season, I cried like a baby that year. It was BEYOND magical. How the hell did our 9-7 giants beat the 15-1 packers, 13-3 49ers, and 13-3 patriots back-to back-to back in the playoffs with inferior rosters in every game. Eli was a GOD that year.

  7. I lost a bet because of the Billy Cundiff miss. But worse than that, Lee Evans dropped a perfect TD pass from Flacco on the previous play that would have gotten them to the Super Bowl.

  8. I'm glad you included a picture of the "SCABS SUCK" signs when talking about the Colts, because that is exactly what I refer Curtis Painter & Co. as. My mother and I pretty much referred to the team as the Indianapolis Peytons all year. Must've been a huge relief when Andrew Luck played so well so fast.
And I hate to admit it, but my mother and I did indeed practically worship Tebow that year.

  9. If I had a nickel for every time the Chiefs beat the Packers when the Packers were the best team in the NFL that year, I'd have two nickels.

Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, right?

  10. One of THE most painful years of my life as a Bucs fan. Esp after we should have been in the playoffs the year before but GB got in on a dumb tie breaker. That 10 game losing streak was so fkn painful after the hot start. Freeman completely imploded.
