  1. Thank you for hashing out 2Ne 3 the way that you guys did.
I agree with and have understood the stem, rod and root of Jesse in application to that chapter for a long time … outside Gileadi, this is the first time I’ve seen anyone go into that.
Refreshing to see the deeper thought beyond “it only applies to Joseph smith and no one else”

  2. There were a number of instances where the Lord had translated into the Book of Mormon and doctrine and covenants the name Gazalem where it was code for Joseph and after they were fulfilled the name was placed in. Not sure if this is what you’re referring too.

  3. Guys, I was so enlightened by your discussion today. Josh, your description of our mission, which is to first become anchored in Christ so that we can then become the bridge over which others can pass to reach Him, struck a deep chord in me! I have increased my learning from your "Shattering Triangles" podcasts and discussions, that to be anchored in Christ is the sacrifice of a broken heart and a contrite spirit operating through the gift of charity, the pure love of Christ, as new creatures in Christ, to all others who are in, or who happen to enter our sphere of influence. I truly see you Josh, Cam, Todd and others on your podcasts as being true messengers to me in my life at this time. Thank you for building this bridge for me!!

  4. Interestingly enough, Joseph of Egypt's prophecy as recorded in Genesis 50 (JST) omits the part of the one mighty and strong. I think Lehi mentions it in chapter 3 because it was a promise to him from the Lord regarding the future and salvation of his posterity.
