2 killed, 5 injured in separate Christmas Day shootings in Indianapolis



IMPD is investigating after six people were shot on Christmas on the city’s northeast side.

One person is dead. Five people are said to be in “stable” condition.

Police responded to a report of a person shot in the 6400 block of Meadowlark Drive, near 42nd Street and North Arlington Avenue, shortly before 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 25.

Police said the Meadowlark shooting is believed to be unrelated to a deadly shooting that happened an hour prior in the 4400 block of North Kitley Avenue, near East 46th Street and North Arlington Avenue.
