2 Black Americans Kidnapped In Mexico Found Dead And 2 Found Alive | Roland Martin

Four black Americans kidnapped in Matamoros, Mexico, have been identified.

Family members say Latavia “Tay” McGee, Shaeed Woodard, Zindell Brown, and Eric James Williams traveled to Mexico from South Carolina so that one of them could get a tummy tuck procedure.

On Friday, the four friends traveled from South Carolina in a minivan when they crossed the US border into Matamoros, Mexico.

Soon after they entered, the group was ambushed by armed men and forced into the back of a pickup truck.

All have been located, with two friends found dead, the third was injured, and the fourth was unharmed. An Innocent bystander was also killed.

The Gulf cartel dominates Matamoros, and the US State Department has advised Americans not to travel to the Mexican state due to the risk of crime and kidnapping.

The FBI has launched an investigation and is partnering with Mexican law enforcement agencies.

  1. 2:20 – this woman talking about civil rights organisations to retrieve these people, obviously we now know only the woman survived. She’s totally ignorant to what goes on in Mexico!! This happens every day!!
I’ve been to Cancun and Playa Da Carmen. Last trip was 6 years ago. I’d never go now! It’s amazing it takes this to happen for some to realise what goes on in the world!!

  2. The way the world is now I think as an American we should be able to travel and conceal weapons if I were to go to Mexico I would have a gold plated Tommy gun and for sure some hornet spray..

  3. Look at the savagery of Mexico. They’ve endured nothing of the barbarity dished out to blacks yet their land has become a high risk hell hole for foreigners. Why aren’t US cops gunning down Mexicans gang members in the US as frequent as blacks going to the corner shop or fast asleep in their apartments?

  4. One day, maybe just one day…. no matter which/ whose perspective, all persons eligible will simply be considered as " 4 Americans traveled to Mexico. 2 of them were found alive, and 2 were deceased.
Color of skin will solely be referred to when a physical description is required. An American is just "American", regardless of race, color, ect. That's my personal definition of Land of the FREE!.

    * I get why instances such as this tragic event is described as such with overall motives of bringing awareness to the community.

  5. Not even Mexicans go to Matamoros
I live in Mexico just fine because I know where to go

If you are truly ignorant don’t come to Mexico or buy a guided tour

A simple google search would tell you Matamoros which is inside Tamaulipas a dangerous state is a no go zone.

  6. If the USA really wanted something done against these type of atrocities, they would end business ties with Mexico like maquiladoras, automobiles factories, clothing factories, etc. I’ll be waiting to see what the USA government will do?

  7. If anyone is looking for The Biden Administration to do anything you can forget it. Cartel members are some of the same people that are being welcomed across OPEN BORDERS. 🤷🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

  8. These 2 didn't deserve to die. Next time someone wants to go to mexico for tummy tuck, go by yourself. Don't put other ppl lives in danger for your vanity.

  9. The Mexican cartels do not like blacks people . They don’t even like darker Mexicans that live there . They were trying to kill off the indigenous darker skinned people . That is part of why a lot of Central Americans and darker Mexicans were trying to come here to the U.S.

  10. You don’t go to Mexico without knowing someone that actually knows Mexico backwards and forwards. Even Mexican Americans who have family there , aren’t even that safe
