  1. Before any millennials get too excited about 'their' technology defeating the GenX tech, just remember who designed that tech. As a GenXer, my first job as an engineer was China Lake Naval Warfare Center in 2001. I had friends working on, AIM-9X, F-35, AESA radar plus other toys that are in service now.

  2. The biggest problem with new aircraft vs old aircraft. The new tech cost so much, it's better off upgrading an older aircraft.
The B-52's have been extended to 2060. The B-2 is getting ready to be retired.
Look at the F-22, it's an 80's technology. I grew up at Edwards Air Force Base during the ATF testing. And the F-22 still has technology that hasn't been declassified.
I'm glad I grew up in the Government Black projects.

  3. Watching these Aim 120 D's tracking targets out side the radar cone of the missile – makes me think that the stats are still broken. Even with a modern data link I feel it would be hard pressed to get it to work like this in a full combat/ECM environment. And although the Phoenix's are designed to hit bombers the AI's seem to dodge them to easily. If you do it again with humans I think you will see a different performance.

  4. I am going to pretend that the modern carrier got the Superhornets up quicker because it had electromagnetic catapults. That is not in DCS, but we're just going to pretend.

  5. Hey cap, I just want to say before you remake the 7th fleet video, that the PL15 is said to perform worse in lower altitudes, while the AMRAAM-D performs decently. Do you think you need to nerf the PL15 for that video, if it hasn't already?
Also, not really relevant for a first strike scenario, but I hear that China has very limited stock of PL15s (Basically, they probably don't put them on their cheaper fighters). You already use them sparingly, though, so good job.

  6. cap as Ukraine is now training to fly the A10 in dcs, can you re-look at how Ukraine could use these A10 assets in a contested air space and maybe look at the USA also providing a few F16s with aim 120s and agm88s. just how effective could the A10s be. with F16 support ?

  7. I have an irrational love of the Super Hornet. It just seems like the airframe does what's asked of it no matter how ridiculous it gets. Air to air? check. Air to ground? check. Anti-ship? check. Missile truck for f35s? check. Make it (semi) stealthy? Check.

  8. Launch rates could be longer for the 1990s because of longer systems checks before launch on the tomcat? I am just guessing. lol I have no data or knowledge to back this theory up. 🤷‍♂️

  9. do you think these carrier group vs carrier group matches would make for a good competitive format? It seems similar to Star Wars Squadrons where you have a capital ship to defend while there are AI and player controlled fighters on each side. I would love to watch two pro teams try that…

  10. Hey cap another banger sorry working a lot trying to catch up on your videos this week. As always you did a great job and as someone who served around a lot of certain stuff I will say your accuracy is getting to the point of near perfect minus the stuff some people may want to shout with tech and some new missiles out that really would pull the 2020s way ahead even more but is a YouTube video worth going to jail over I think not lol great job

  11. Hi to the team, started watching your war games a few weeks ago and now love them, still learning the phrases you use even though I'm from the UK. Question though why is the F 35 not so good? Take care ex FAA 801 squadron
