  1. The blank space Taylors version track to me sounds like ai! especially the way she says "and ill write your name" really reminds me of how ai is able to mimic voices, or maybe she just sounded weird on that take or went too hard with autotune??

  2. thank u kevin for not being afraid of saying the og track is better. a lot swifties tend to bash on those who prefer of og tracks, but sometimes her younger voice fits the song and obv her voice has matured beautifully, but something about her old voice completes the song for me and having the beats show off when they have to. anyways, i will see how i like this tv bc the other ones were okay IMO IMO, i feel like the energy lacks sometimes. ๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿฅฒ

Okay, so I don't believe there could ever be a double 1989 album release, for two main reasons: (1) as a new swiftie, I always try to get the perspective of "veteran" swifties on things Taylor does and, as cleverly pointed by the Swiftologist, Taylor wanted 1989 to be a succinct statement , for it to be a perfect pop album, and also it originally had no features (and the featured version of bad blood was something additional for promotion of the album), so it wouldn't make sense if she added too many songs on the album (hence the least vault songs of a TV so far) or added features to it (as it would disrupt the purpose of the original album of being her story about finding herself and somehow that was everything); (2) a double album would negatively affect 1989 TVs streaming and selling numbers, and she needs each TV album to be as big or bigger than her own original versions so it leaves a mark in the music industry and consolidates her re-recordings as a sucess story (as it already has been, and needs to continue being sucessful all throughout her * cough cough * six albums). But, you know, let the people have fun theorising about a double 1989 TV.
    However, if I were to try to argument for an additional release related to 1989 TV, I would say that, to me, it does seem Taylor and her team used the Midnights promotion as a test of what marketing strategies work in this moment to make an album HUGE. So they tried out the most diverse types of strategies to see which worked really well and which are not as sucessful, so they could employ the best ones at promoting 1989 TV, to have the Taylor's version of 1989 be as huge of a moment as the original one was.
    I say this because it is quite clear that the 4 colored editions of 1989 are part of the same strategy used in Midnights, that had EXACTLY the same 4 colors as 1989 but in dark witchy Midnights versions of it: Midnighs has the moonstone blue, jade green, blood moon red and mahogany yellow editions, all related to the 70s dark aesthetic of Midnights; 1989 has the Crystal Skies Blue, Aquamarine Green, Rose Garden Pink and Sunrise Boulevard Yellow, possibly all color names referencing a lyric from a 1989 TV song. Also, this makes the theory on the dark version of 1989 TV even more unlikely, since Midnights kind of already is the dark 1989, being a pop album that explores the things that haunt her in the middle of the night. To me, the different colors are an improvement to the 1989 OG version's strategy of making fans buy more records to collect all the polaroids: each edition has different photos, but also it has a different cover, back cover and color pallete. Not only the colored editions are the same strategy between Midnights and 1989 TV, but the back covers with different numbers on them are also the same idea: for midnights, the 4 back covers would make up a clock; for 1989 TV the 4 different back covers make up 1989. And, with the numbers, both albums also have an specific wall mount to turn the records into a wall decoration.
    So the different colors editions and back covers are a strategy to make the album sell like a mf โ€” some fans just will want all the editions to put up on their wall. But other strategies used in the promotion of Midnights are already being used for 1989 TV. One of them is the Target exclusive edition with an exclusive song that the other editions don't have (yet another way of making people buy more versions of the same album, and it wouldn't surprise me if the exclusive Target song doesn't go to streaming platforms immediately) โ€” it is important to point out that no other TV had a target exclusive song, just a target exclusive edition. Another thing is the online interaction to find the song titles is also done both during the Midnights roll out (Midnight's mayhem with me, which I think is one of those less sucessful marketing strategies that had to be improved) and 1989 TV's roll out (which is a more interactive version of MMWM, since her team probably noticed how swifties were staying up to watch her tiktoks and thought they would probably be able to make people unite to solve 33 MILLION puzzles to get the vault track names) โ€” granted that she has done it for every TV album except Speak Now apparently because of a leak, but the google search is the most interactive song hunt she has ever done. Yet another Midnights strategy employed both for the 1989 TV and the Speak Now TV is the announcement when talking to fans: for Midnights she left hints before the VMAs that something would be announced during the awards show, and no one expected a new album announcement; for Speak Now, she was hinting the color purple and the number 3 for a few shows before unexpectedly announcing Speak Now TV during the acoustic set; for 1989, she brought out a number of different new blue outfits before announcing 1989 TV during the acoustic set. Those three times, fans stood awake in the anticipation of an announcement.
    Still, there are a few strategies that Taylor used for the Midnigths promotion and hasn't used yet for the 1989 TV promotion. One of them is the billboards around the world with new lyrics snippets โ€” and I don't think she will do this for 1989 TV, but let's wait and see. Another one is one she did AFTER the release of Midnights: the hundred different versions of Midnights. Right after Midnights was released, at 3 am Taylor released the 3AM version of Midnights, which is basically a deluxe version with additional 6 songs. Maybe that's where the "double album" theories could be possible: releasing a new version of the same album, with the same songs and a few additional tracks, is a great way to push up the stream numbers of the songs on both versions. Because, after listening to the new album once, the new version makes people want to listen to the album again: firstly to listen to just the new songs; then to listen to the whole album with the new songs altogether, cause the amount of new songs makes listening to the album on repeat something enjoyable. Midnights has 5 colored editions and 4 different versions: the regular 13 tracks version (13 tracks? just like 1989 OG regular version?); then there is the 3AM edition; then there's The Til Dawn edition; and then there's The Late Night editon. And don't even get me started on the multiple remixes, which may be another thing done with 1989 TV songs if she feels like it. So, maybe, there's the 1989 TV, which is succinct and true to its original purpose, and then there'll be a 1989 TV extended version (maybe that's where city girl aesthetic comes up? a 1989 with friends at a club in the city that never sleeps kind of version?), with the same 21 songs from 1989 TV normal version, but with the addition of Bad Blood (feat. Kendrick Lamar), This Is What You Came For (Taylor's Version) (okay, this is me dreaming) and one or two vault tracks or different versions of the songs already confirmed (like, either acoustic or more eletronic versions) with feats. (like she did with Karma on Midnights then Karma feat. Ice Spice on some other version of the album) to symbolize the popular girl vibes she had at the original 1989 era with her girl squad and all the surprise appearances on her 1989 world tour concerts.
    Again, I don't think we'll get more songs than those already confirmed, but, to me, the more realistic possibility of us getting feats. and more songs on 1989 TV is if there is a extended version that will be released shortly after the normal version is released. That way, the album both stays true to its original concept of a tight range of songs, personal yet popular, sonically cohesive pop bible, but also reaps the benefits of the streaming numbers an extended version of the album allows for (such as the 3AM editon did) and the benefits of collaborating with other artists (sorry, Harry won't be one of them, because that would be bringing too much attention to her exes, but maybe Selena or another artist that is big right now).
