  1. I wouldn't doubt that those rubber umbrella seals Ford used on the six cylinders are completely shot. They were notorious for hardening, breaking and getting into the oil pan. I took a bunch of them apart back in the late 60's and early 70's while working in a machine shop. -144, 170, 200. I saw a 289 that it actually got into the oil pump, wedged it and caused the hex drive rod to twist.

  2. Dude thank you for making this, at first I cringed a few times and then I realized man I wish more people just said f it made it good enough and got them back on the road. Every car can’t be and shouldn’t be on a rotisserie. Props to you man!

  3. Fun stuff for sure. I've seen quite a few of these videos and am just wondering – are you allowed to drive cars in the U.S. in such condition? No breaks, random seat belt imitation, doors don't close etc. In Europe you'd get a pretty nice ticket for not having passed the technical certification, which you have to pass yearly.

  5. I spent half my stock car racing days being a pit man for a buddy of mine that raced a 67 Mustang Bomber. I raced a 71 Comoro. He was very fast most of the time, but from pitting for him I learned that the tie rods were fragile. I had to straighten them enough. So when racing against him, all I had to do was rub his front wheel and it wood slow him down! The tie are behind the frame cross member, The comaro is tn front, which makes them alot tougher. He's the one that taught that (If you ante Cheeten you ante tryen) !!!!
