1964 Chevy Impala Station Wagon! My first classic car! 327 finally gets some TLC!

I bought this car in 1999 at a local estate sale where it had been abandoned in a backyard for 20 plus years. The 327 was locked up so this was my FIRST revival as a 14 year old punk! Well it’s been neglected for the past few years so lets address some of those issues and fix a few of my screwups from 20 plus years ago. This car is NOT FOR SALE! Well, I mean, if someone gave me $327,300 for it in cold hard cash I’d probably let it go… Maybe… As always, thanks for watching!

  1. Isn't it great to take that walk down memory lane with your old cars and trucks from your youth and discover temporary fixes that became permanent fixes! "What was I thinking when I did that" LOL! Oh the joys of youth!

  2. I hate when people slam doors on are 55 chevy and crack the window. I don't get why people think they need to slam them you can open them with your finger. the weight of the door is enough, it's not a 77 Monte Carlo. Chrome steelies with no center caps would look cool on the 64. I really like chrome steelies & pained steelies with small O.E. caps

  3. Leaving that intake open after removing the carb drove me nuts … did I miss something as to why you pulled the motor to replace a rear main … I have done many in the car …

  4. Definitely a great car.
I would update brakes and suspension but leave engine basically as it is. No LS swap. Body just needs minor tlc but as she is is pretty sweet looking. I would probably run some baby moons on her. Definitely a 60's vibe! Definitely looking forward to more on her!

  5. I like your wagon! The interior is nice. Just fix the driver seat, rust on bottom of front fenders, add front disc brakes, and exhaust. Fix trans leaks or swap to a turbo 350 trans. Full air with compressor okay but won’t stop the bouncing.

  6. Love this car. I could've bought cars like that back in the 80s but then as a teenager you think those aren't cool but just look at what you can do with them. You also have a great collection of cars and trucks. God bless you and Duff.

  7. WOW, Mr. Lucky, your right about timing gear and chain. It goes poof and engine goes BOOM. I ALWAYS use the best timing chain and gears i can afford when replacing them, a few bucks more and it gives me peace of mind that this won't be the cause of "it blew up". Hope duff and you are enjoying ya'lls summer way up yonder!!

  8. I like your ideas Dog dish with steelies to match body color with patina on them but keep the dogs dishes pristine. Keep soft ride but add valves and compressor, new shocks, put power discs front power drums back but keeping current drums good too cause they are so rare these days, fix dents, rust through and valance in back. Keep paint patina…my 2 cents. Station wagons are so appealing these days, such a nice alternative to suvs, tired of seeing them. Beauty of a car, oh new safe tires too. Begging for another video to see what you do! Modern headlamps would be nice. For budget update just change shocks, adjust brakes, new tires and steelies with new dog dishes new headlamps and put on the valance on back you have. So many possibilities so little time! Always liking your videos!
