They were actually called perfect pencil pointers. Manufacturer was the Perfect Pencil Pointer Co. Out of Massachusetts. They only made them for about three years. There was also one the was hand cranked a large abrasive wheel. Only. Reason I know is a I saw one of those short videos on I think on the discovery channel
I wish they had that in school when I grew up we’d go in the front and sharpen off some old sharpener in front of a chalkboard that made a lot of noise and sometimes it would make the tip loose so you’d go back and sharpen it multiple times….so embarrassing and annoying
