  1. Wow, that was a great idea for a video huh? 😅😅
    * Junk – everything that's bad ivs/duplicates, so it's easy to filter them out. A lot of XXL pokemon endup staying in here
    * XLCandy – things to distance trade or with xl candy bonus
    * ToEvolve – also useful for traded tradeevolve mons
    * Level40+ – all mons at level 40 or higher (since "candyxl" only works at 40.5)
    * Level50 –
    * LivingDex/LuckyDex/ShinyDex/ShadowDex – tags for each of the living dex

  2. Some advice for tags like 7:37
create a search that you save as favorit and use the numbers instead of the names. because then it's irrelevent what language your game uses and you can share those searchstrings easier amongst your friends wich may play in a different language.
Also, don't use mega as tag because mega is also a searchstring that filters for mega pkmnlv, and the tag can interfere with that and yield confusing results.

  3. I've done these to my own personal ones just need to organize them a bit! i got tags for (buddy list) to "pending buddy mons" and size & IV's.

need defenders, attackers, raid related ones i not per say forget but i'll also do presets for those and battles for current go rocket and raids pools! love ya Daxi! go fellow trainers!

  4. 3:03 For finding cheap pokemon to purify, you can actually use the pokedex numbers in case your game is not in English. Just exchange the "shadow" at the beginning for whatever it is in your devices language and use the following pokedex numbers

    shadow&10-22,25-26,35-36,39-42,74-76,129-130,161-174,218-219,223-224,261-269,276-277,283-284,293-295,304-306,316-317,320-321,325-326,333-334,339-340,396-402,412-414,420-421,504-510,519-521,527-528,540-550,556-558,587,602-604,659-663,819-820

Maybe that helps a few non English players 😉

  6. It's worth mentioning that you should try to keep tags short and easy to remember for two reasons:

    1. They'll be quick to type out if you are thrusted into a menu that blocks out the tags page like when you're trading or putting a pokémon in a gym.

    2. It stops excess text and tags being on your pokémon and cluttering up the screen. Too many tags will end up buried in a drop down.

    Other ideas:

    Don't have too many tags.
Shorten words like 'rare trading' to 'rares' for example.
Be careful not to duplicate the text of any in-game search phrases as this can mess with results.

I also found it's easier to use a saved search string when training mega pokémon instead of tagging them. !mega3&!mega0&megaevolve – this string removes any pokémon that can be mega'd, but haven't been before as they will just be clutter and as well as megas that have already been fully trained, leaving behind just the level 1-2 megas. With it being a search string too, pokémon will automatically be added and removed when they hit max level instead of having to manually remove or add tags from them.

Maxed megas can be searched simply by using the mega3 search and potential megas can just be searched with the 'can mega evolve' icon in the recommended tab, although with some search string combinations you can remove any mega's that you don't want to train.

  7. My tags:
    Mega – the pokemon I want to mega evolve either to upgrade level or for a raid battle (usually have the best 1 of each unless cases where i have 2 types like Gengar being good for Poison and for Ghost);
XLS – Showcase xxl pokemon, when i created i thought of xxs but then I saw no use for them but I kept this name
trade – for trade basically. Usually I trade with my gf pokemon so we keep refreshing that one so listen to other trainers on that if you just keep best ones or old ones for trade
TR – best pokemon for TR battles, since sometimes they're not the best for raids. The best way to find is to go to pvpoke and search for the fast move/moves of the type with most DPS then go to master league rank, order by attack stat and search the moves "@namemove1, @namemove2, …" usually you find the best ones (e.g. kartana for grass, …) as you want to try to combine the higher DPS fast attack with spammy charged move, whatever it is with bonus for the stat bonuses like + attack or opponent – defense which lead you to deal even more damage and quickly dispatch the TR.
R_Type – I tend to have one tag per type that is the best or projects I'm working to become the best attacker of the specific type. E.g. I have R_Dragon where I keep a Salamence and a garchomp for mega (unfortunately dont have a rayquaza yet) depending on situation for 2nd type, sometimes, flying will give advantage other times ground but dps doesnt differ much, I keep shadow salamences and shadow dragonites + haxorous from com day since there was a bug with party power where I would do breaking swipe 3-5 times in a row with party power, dealing huge damage.
ComDayEvolve – pokemon I'm waiting for community day or other special event to evolve and get the elite move (e.g. current starters dynamax and beldum waiting for december com day of the year to evolve and get legacy move)
Evolve – well I used to have this one to use lucky eggs, 2x evolve exp and evolve the ones I don't have etc. Actually stpped using this one last year because once I reached lvl40 I stopped caring about exp. I'm currently lvl 41 with like 100M exp missing the mission to evolve Eevees which I don't really want to do as I have more important, for example, buddies to max out etc but good one if you want to upgrade level.
LC, UL, GL, ML – Pvp pokemon
Frustration – pokemon with frustration move which I want toremove on TR event
I don't really have a tag for gym defenders as since Niantic changed the system I just put my latest shinies to show off the pokemon. I don't want anymore to defend the gym, I want my gym to be beaten after 8 hours to get my coins and go again, so I think its cool way to use the pokemon on gyms.
ToMax – pokemon lvl 50 or I plan to lvl 50 basically
    MaxIv – 4* pokemon
purify – pokemon which cost 1000 to purify, though I plan to stop doing that and instead just catch the pokemon and purify on catch as I only do on Giovanni TR mission. On field research, even if you stack its not worth it usually, unless probably when you want to do both field research and special research TR mission but still, unless its like shellder, audino or combee reward for field research, dont bother finishing purify pokemon research tasks as its loss of stardust.
FreeEvolve – traded pokemons to evolve for 0 candies and the 12 candies evolve like caterpie, pidove, weedle
SpecialEvolve – needs tasks as buddy to evolve. Also stopped doing most of these as the evolutions other than entry pokedex, they're not worth for me compared to max buddy my megas and the ones I want xl candy or just regular candy for.
dynamax – pokemon that can dynamax, so I trade all as well to try to get lucky, then evolve com day or just leave after beating max battle to get candies

  8. Love Tags! Didn't see it listed, but I also have one for "HOME". Since you can only transfer about 5 shinys/week to Pokemon Home, I like to have those tagged and ready to go. Thanks for the info. 🙂
