  1. that cool isn't in the most effective orientation…. but if the coil was rewound with a sinusoidal "wobble" to mimic/oppose those magnetic fingers output could be upped maybe? so that field lines are being "cut"

  2. Dr. Smith, I can't wait to see your finial design. Please, if you would, use a pully reduction design and spin that fan housing until it disintegrates. I'd like to see how many RPM it can take. But you are right about the cost savings alone. Are area hasn't seen effective wind in over a month.

  3. you could make a large one for the wind turbine under 100£$ ! microwave or speaker magnet, beefed up coil etc etc.
    i wonder how much loss of "flux" you get by using iron to divert the magnetism. hOW EASY WOULD IT BE TO MAKE CLAWS TO UTILISE A BLOCK MAGNET?(WHICH CAN BE FLIPPIN HUGE IVE GOT A 2"X2"X1" BAD BOY THAT PULLS OVER 100LB)

  4. The fan blades won't give the expected output for the diameter because the blower fan isn't giving enough output coverage, basically if the generator is brought outside it should give the expected output?

  5. Hey sir, as ever, thank you for these videos. I tried a brief search for the fan you are holding. You mentioned banggood, all the fans I found there are approximately $30 US. Would you happen to have a link to that particular one available?

  6. So for a hundred bucks i could put 20 of these up on the windy mountain and possibly get a whole amp. Not bad at all. They could totally charge some batteries while I’m at work all day.
    Wind is not a problem where I’m at, it’s called “squall ridge”. In fact I wonder if these cheapies could hold up😃
    Great video as usual.

  7. Hello, Mr. Murray-Smith;
    I enjoyed this one, quite interesting, "Thank You!" very much.
    Too bad you didn't include a link to the fan on banggood.
    I've bought a few items from banggood but not on a regular basis.
    I'm not familiar w/ that site so a link would be greatly appreciated.
    If I can find one I'll build a generator, maybe reverse that coil & add a bigger, better turbine.
    Have a GREAT day, Neighbor!
