Back when I was a lot younger we would catch Yellow Belly on pieces of meat from Road kill. I'm a retired 4wd Tour guide and enjoy watching the places you go, I've been to Carnarvon Gorge many times but not where you went, I miss the Gorge. Big Red is not hard to get up slow and steady Low range first gear is all you need, but we will se how you go next episode.
The fish you were catching are eel tailed catfish or what we call in central Qld freshwater jewfish (Jewy’s) or butterjew
