When watching this anime, I had little expectations; but that reveal about the human origin of the hideauze sent shivers down my spine when I saw it. The war between the 2 factions just makes sense. One side believes humanity is defined by its ability to master machines, the other believes in becoming one with its environment. Opposing views that can be reconciled, leading to a war on the dying earth, which continued then in space. Such a freaking awesome sci fi lore idea. Brought this anime to a whole new level. If you havent watched it please do. And the score by Taro Iwashiro is out of this world.
