  1. Is it the rise of China in the video game industry? It's really exciting all these coming games. They should stop exclusivities thought, I love Team Ninja ad Insomniac, yet I won't buy a PS5, just to play some games. When a new Ninja Gaiden? Or Tenchu?

  2. Needs more Enenra.

Looking forward to stuff like Steel Seed, Phantom Hellcat, Dungeons of Hintenberg, bygone Dreams (out next month), Monolith: Requiem of the Ancients, Homura Hime, and, of course, the best of them all: Gori: Cuddly Carnage.

We are seemingly about to have an onslaught of releases from Chinese and Korean devs in the Hack'n'slash/soulslike genres. Once stuff like Stellar Blade and Black Myth (the only 2 with release dates so far) are out, we'll be able to talk more about the general quality (Lies of P was a good start, but too early to say if there's a solid pattern yet)

  4. Two GoTY contender listed here.

Wu-Kong Black Myth and Dragons Dogma will in GOTY talk. Can’t think of any other games coming this year that have as much hype. Feel like they’ll both live up to it too.

  5. Don’t get me wrong. Every single one of these look good.

But man. It’s as if every game coming out is some sort of samurai melee fighter. Take a scene from half of these and plug them into a different game and nobody could tell them apart.

I’m hoping each is good and have no reason to doubt they will but hope devs aren’t hurt by the gluttony of so many big titles offering the same setting and genre of game. Too many to set themselves apart ?

  6. I'll add Stellar blade and Phantom blade 0 to the list. But like at lot of these chinese developed games, I'm not sure when or even if we'll see phantom blade 0 actually release. It'll be a shame if it doesn't release because it has so much potential to be great.

  7. You serious?! A Hack 'n Slash Videogame-List without the upcoming and hyped Stellar Blade?! 😡

But with some stupid sounding chinese Sekiro-Knockoffs who probably most of the Players never heard anything about it?!

Are you REALLY serious Gaming-Bolt?! 🤦
