  1. Next gen power systems cleaner no driver so safer? So many words to say absolutely nothing. Narrayor not needed in this video unless to say, "you people are a problem." I cannot watch to the end, so demoralizing.

  2. I don't think that MAN truck isn't going to work if people have to use MANs freight container. People already have invested so much in the regular freight containers, I don't see them spending more for one that cuts out space

  3. I grew up during the 1950s when vehicles were trying to stay in step with the jet age. Tail fins and all the rest. One company was going to go turbine instead of gas. Here were are today.

  4. They aren’t trucks, you can’t just build a vehicle and call it a truck. They are electric junk, you want to see a real truck look up trucks like the Kenworth w900l or peterbilt 379. These things aren’t trucks, it’s not what any truck should ever be and manufacturers that don’t know anything about trucks need to stay far away from the concepts. Plain and simple

  5. Follow up comment. If you think that speed is everything it’s not. Wow, the vehicle can go from 0 – 60 in seconds, so you get to 60 immediately then you have to slam on the brakes for a reason and boom, you load shifts and goes straight through the cab. 300 to 500 miles on a single charge? HA! With a def tank I can do 800 miles, 10 minute fueling and keep on going or without a def tank I can do 1200 miles with 10-15 minutes of fueling. You can’t just say these things are the next best thing and this and that unless you know about the trucking industry. As for the autonomous vehicles the 2 major companies are going under because it’s dam near impossible to make it a reality. If you don’t know trucking, it’s best to stay away from it when talking about it

  6. All of these trucks are obviously marketing stunts and not intended for standard production. The reason why is that the majority of them need proprietary trailers to function as they advertise, which means the most popular, cheap, and reliable trailers on the market suddenly become unusable and the customer must tether themselves to a single source for all of their trailers. That’s just never going to happen.

Why are big trucks so fuel intensive? Because the more mass you haul for longer distances the more power you need to do it, balancing speed with fuel efficiency so much like airliners a truck has to run at a “cruising speed” for best efficiency. You completely throw that out of wackos with alternative fuels and electric does NOT eliminate carbon emissions,! It merely passes responsibility for the creation of those emissions to the power plants that must supply the vastly robust electrical grid that will have to be created to sustain the use of those vehicles. And given that solar panels are not recyclable and break easily to the point of non repair, wind turbines kill more birds than hunters do and are prone to dangerous toxic oil leaks with fan blades that cannot break down naturally cannot be recycled and must be replaced every few years the only other power plants your left with are hydro electric damns incredibly expensive and understood to massively change the environments of both up and down stream ecosystems, coal fired plants whose issues are well known. And nuclear which has only had 3 plants ever become hazardous in their operations. Chernobyl due to Soviet ineptitude, three mile island from internal corruption and worker neglect, and Fukushima which got slapped out of nowhere by a 8.1 earthquake followed by a tsunami.

You want clean energy? Go nuclear the only time man has failed with nuclear energy has been because the fault of those that ran the machines or Mother Nature throwing the wrenches in the works herself never has a properly maintained nuclear plant had a catastrophic malfunction due to a failure in the design, the density of the waste and known easy to prepare small footprint storage space that can be purpouse built to contain it.
