I think the Master of Masters hides himself in people the way Darkness hides themselves in people. Further, Darkness might be hiding in the Master's "body" for awhile now. Also , if the Master performed the Power of Waking to follow his own Timeline(s)/Scripts to shape Fate to his liking, then he could be in several places, times, and people. For example, Sora and Riku. And the composite of those two, Yozora/ Noctis.
I will also point out that there are several locations that are names after the placement of the Sun, and the "Moon".
Sora is the Day Sky, Riku is the Twilight walking toward the Dawn, and Yozora is the place Riku walks through to get to Sora.
The False Light is described in Dark Road as people who are self righteous like the Queen of Hearts or the Evil Queen. People who strip the Strong of their power, and pretend they earned it.
It is implied the Darkness Baldr had was caused by "The Light" of the classmates trying to deny their Fear and terror. They grew a Darkness amidst themselves, and They(the Darkness) killed Baldr's sister. In his grief , he absorbed them. Then, They became Him.
The False Light is the Self righteous Persona "weak" people collectively use to justify their identity, but Shadows lurk just under the surface. Being the Queen/King/the Witch. Being beautiful. Being Royalty. Being "The Foretellers". Being a "Union Leader".Being "stronger that your Best Friend , and the Light of the group"(Riku).
The Masters convinced Young Xehanort to look in those kind of people's Hearts, and Xehanort realized that False Light people are unconscious to fact that they Grow and foster new Sentient Darkness and spread True Darkness influence. Young Xehanort then comes to believe it would be better a person was a Darkness and aware they were, then to exist as one unconsciously. (Live in False Light)
I probably posted this theory on a video of yours before (I've posted a lot on other KH youtubers' videos, so I don't remember what I posted where), but I need to post it again to provide context to my thoughts about Yozora's resemblance to Noctis and Riku. That theory being who Yozora is:
1. Yozora is heart transferred character:
The Nameless Star says about her friend that he's "been changed beyond all recognition– his heart replaced with another". This is most likely about Yozora as there is nobody else that we know of. This is spoken in present tense meaning since Yozora is the one currently in control, he's the "another" heart that replaced the heart of the nameless star's friend. This heart's whereabouts is currently unknown.
This also provides an explanation to Yozora saying, "this isn't what I really look like" and "How did you recognize me as Yozora?". If he's a heart transferred character, than what he really looks like is his original body, not the current body he is inhabiting. He asks why Sora recognizes him as specifically "Yozora" because Yozora is his name not the body he's inhabiting. He doesn't look like himself so nobody should be able to recognize him
2. Yozora's orignal body looks like Sora:
Rex and Hamm recognize Sora as Yozora which is strange because we can see he doesn't. Sora, Donald, and Goofy all think that he looks more like Riku than Sora. What we also know is that Rex and Hamm have played Verum Rex, a videogame presumably about Yozora. This means that they could have seen Yozora's original body, and if they think that Sora looks like Yozora, but we see that they don't look alike, then Yozora's original body probably looks like Sora which would explain the discrepancy.
3. Clues that Yozora's original body is Sora himself:
There are many clues suggesting this: First is his name. "Sora" means "sky" and "Yozora" means "night sky". You don't choose a name like that unless you're trying to connect the two. Second is Yozora's keyblade copy. It's not an exact replica of any keyblade we've seen before, but it looks most like the Ultima keyblade. The difference being that there is a crown on Yozora's where there should be a heart. The crown is a symbol often associated with Sora. Third is the skull and crossbones on Yozora's sleeve. The skull has spiky hair like Sora and it is wearing a crown. Again a crown is a symbol associated with Sora. The crossbones aren't actually crossbones, they're two kingdom keys. Sora wields the kingdom key.
4. Yozora outlines Riku's plot from Dream Drop Distance:
"I accidently wandered into this place and went through some trials. Then I was told to save Sora". This is something that Yozora says and it is Riku's exact plot in Dream Drop Distance. To explain: First, Riku accidently wandered into traverse town and also accidently wandered into Sora's dream (this is important for later). Second, Riku goes through the mark of master which Yen Sid describes as "more trial than test". Third, Yen Sid tells Riku to Wake Sora which is similar to "save Sora".
5. Sora lost the power of waking, Yozora has the power of waking:
In DDD, Sora falls to briefly falls to darkness and this is the reason why he loses all of his power and also, most importantly, the power of waking. It's important because the power of waking isn't something that just anyone has. It is rare because it is a keyblade ability yet Yozora somehow has it despite not having a keyblade. And yes, Yozora has the power of waking:
In KH3, Young Xehanort describes the power of waking as being the ability to traverse hearts to reach worlds. This is consistent with the way we first see it used in Dream Drop Distance when RIku uses to wake Sora. If you recall, Riku dives down onto Sora's station of awakening (his heart) and after defeating Ventus' suit of armour, he is transported to Destiny Islands (a world). Before Sora and Yozora fight, the exact same thing happens: after Yozora points his crossbow at Sora, Sora's station of awakening (his heart) appears from underneath them, and then Quadratum (a world) appears around them.
Earlier in point 4 I mentioned that it is important that Riku being inside Sora's dream is important, so heres why. When Yozora mentions, "I accidently wandered into this place", he just used the power of waking meaning he was inside of Sora's dream just like Riku. This strengthens point 4.
6. Who I think Yozora is:
I think that Yozora is a part of Sora that was lost when he fell to darkness in DDD. The biggest parts that were lost were all of his power and the power of waking. This explains why Yozora outlines Riku's plot in DDD, why he's so powerful, and why he has the power of waking. This also explains all the Sora symbols. I've so far been calling Yozora a heart because it is the simplest, but I don't know for sure that that is what he is. Maybe he'll end up being classified as something else. But I think that Yozora was a piece of Sora's heart that broke off and became its own being. To cap it off, Sora means "sky", Yozora means "night sky"; what's a more fitting name for a "sky" that fell to darkness than "night sky".
7. How Yozora came from Sora to Quadratum:
Sora fell to darkness in a unique way. He fell to darkness by being lured further and further into sleep. We know that sleep and death are close to each other and that the final world is the last stop before death. We know that the final world is connected to both reality and unreality because Sora, who's from reality, can access it and the Nameless Star, who's from unreality, is also there. So because of the way Sora fell to darkness, Yozora could have come from Sora, gone to the final world, and then crossed over to unreality where Quadratum is.
8. Why Yozora looks like Riku:
Whenever a character's heart transfers into another's body, they change the appearance of the body by gaining characteristics from the original body of the heart. For a couple of examples: in KH1, Riku's body changed when Ansem, Seeker of Darkness took over him; and Terra's hair changed to white like Xehanort's when Xehanort took over him in Birth by Sleep. So, when Yozora transfers into the body he gains Riku's hair colour. Why Riku and not Sora? Riku was Sora's dream eater DDD while Sora was falling to darkness, and because of how Sora fell to darkness by being lured deeper and deeper into sleep, through Kingdom Hearts shenanigans, Yozora took Riku's appearance instead of Sora (Riku's personality too, for that matter).
9. Noctis:
If Yozora changed the appearance of the body, when Yozora is finally removed from it, the body will return to its original appearance. Because I think that Yozora altered the body's hair colour, this means that the hair colour should change back to its original colour. My guess as to the original colour: Black, so that he could look even more like Noctis.
Given all of this. Yozora might not be connected to the Master of Masters at all, but is mostly there for Sora's personal journey. Youtuber "Constructing Kingdoms" suggests that Yozora will serve a similar purpose to what Data Roxas did for Data Sora in Re:coded as in Yozora will force Sora to confront all the hurt he's accumulated. Considering how I think that Yozora was created, and the way Sora's "heart was aching" while he was being lured deeper into sleep, I think this assessment is very plausible.
Bonus point 10. Why Sora and Yozora fight in Quadratum:
You talk about Toy Box's relevance to Quadratum and Yozora, here's one way it is and it explains where they fight. Like I mentioned before, Yozora uses the power of waking. When Quadratum appears around them it sort of renders in. At first glance, this just seems a part of Yozora's whole technology/digital motif. But it shouldn't since this is a keyblade ability, not a technology based one. When Sora's station of awakening appears underneath them, a keyblade like sound can be heard and we notice that there's nothing technological/digital going on, which is consistent to it being a keyblade ability. So what explains this seeming incongruity? When Riku uses the power of waking on Sora in DDD, he goes to specifically Sora's dream version of Destiny Islands. So when Yozora uses the power of waking, they should also go to a dream version of somewhere Sora has been before. Now you'll say, "wait! Sora has never been to Quadratum". To that I'll tell you, yes he has. In Toy Box, Young Xehanort throws Sora into the Verum Rex videogame, where he fights gigas in Quadratum. So the reason why Quadratum renders in when Yozora uses the power of waking on Sora is because they go to Sora's dream version of the only Quadratum that Sora knows: Videogame Quadratum and videogames render in.
To add to the Sora and Yozora thing, I think if my theory of Yozora being future Sora isn't correct, then I have a backup. Sora and Yozora are halfs of each other and Sora is actually from Quadratum, let me elaborate.
So, context, the other day I was brainstorming when I decided I wanted to see if I could "decoded" the phrases at the start of each numbered tittle and, oh boy I could.
Remember in the stream we just did when the KH4 trailer released and we talked about how Sora could actually be from Unreality? We never elaborated but I did and here's my conclusion.
Well, we know the parallels of both Sora and Yozora saying the "I've been having these weird thoughts lately" line, but the other lines? Are they conecting Sora and Yozora? Yes, absofreakinglutly
KH3's line is "They can take your world, they can take your heart, cut you lose from all you know, but if it's your fate, then EVERY step foward will always be a step closer to HOME", Darkness took Sora's world and heart in Kh1, it cutted him lose from all he knew in 3 (when the Guardians died), but that was his fate, so every step foward would be a step closer to home, and where did he end up at the end of 3, aka home? Unreality (remember also that Yozora said that it was fate that brought them together). And don't even TRY to tell me he ended up in Destiny Islands because he was probably the same amount of time there that he was in, idk, freakin Disney Castle.
The KH4 line is something like " The heart resides within the soul, which itself drives the heart to it's righfull place" which, if we connect the dots, we see that Sora's soul drived his Heart into Unreality.
Next, KH3 orchestra trailer said "Don't believe your dreams are just fantasy, if you can imagene a world, believe it, and dive in". Quadratum is based of FFVXIII and what was it's slogan? "A fantasy based of reality", and the Yozora fight happened in a dream, and after that, he dived into Unreality (or first he dived into Unreality and then fight Yozora but, details).
And now, my favorite part, KH2's line (when I saw this and connected it with the rest of the theory I felt megamind for a bit), "A scaretted dream that's like a far of memory, a far of memory that's like a scaretted dream, I wanna line the pieces out, yours and mine". I think, no matter how hard we've tried, we never decodifed this line (don't get me wrong, someone definitely has, it's just that I don't know them and between the Lodge, I don't think we could), until now. So, Sora is "sky" and Yozora is "night sky", two halfs of a day, if Sora is actually from Unreality, he would be the day sky, meanwhile Yozora the night sky, and this I mean literally, in the Verum Rex and Yozora fight, because Sora wasn't in Quadratum, it was always a night sky (but, if this theory is correct, then tecnically Sora and Yozora should have the same SOA so maybe the Unreality in the Yozora fight is actually just like the Destiny Islands that Sora has on his heart), but, in the KH4, since Sora now is there, there is a day sky again. Now, I know what you're thinking "Oh but M.A., this has NOTHING to do with KH2's line, dissapointment", and you would be correct, two reasons, first I wanted to tell you how it's no as far-fetched as you thought when You readed the beggining and second, this just came to me while writing and I couldn't resist. See, if Sora and Yozora are two halfs of a coin, and seeing as the remind fight ocurred in a dream (some could even say a "scaretted dream" since the two reasons ndings are scaretted and we don't know which is canon), Sora's far of memories of Quadratum should reunite with Yozora's scaretted dreams to become "whole" again (I'm not saying that they are like Ven and Vanitas or Sora and Roxas, they are their own being, but if they line their pieces up, they can complete their memories and in some sense complete the being).
Also, if you ask why Yozora says "This isn't what I really look like. Why are you using Sora's name?" WHEN Sora and Yozora unite their pieces they will gain their original appearence, whatever it is and the"Why are you using Sora's name?", maybe he just doesn't know what Sora now looks like.
Rex from Toy Story is the One True King… the VERUM REX, if you will.
Yozora is the younger version of the master. He is trying to groom his younger self to fulfill some sort of grand plan.
Here's a made up theory I came up with what if yozora is the Masters nobody, yozora's eyes are blue and red the no name keyblade has one blue eye, yozora's blue eye . They're connected somehow. If not then a theory is a theory.

I want to add in, if Yozora "heard of" Sora but doesn't recognize Sora's appearance, then maybe Yozora read about Sora (book of prophecies). Sora and Yozora's encounter takes place after the book, an unwritten Era. The master of masters probably wants to eliminate Sora or take Sora's body or something, and Yozora is probably working to prevent that. Luxu and the foretellers are probably expected to assist the MoM. While Riku, Luxord, Yozora, and Sigurd (and possibly Brain) are working to save Sora or help (Sora's) reality
I thought about this body stealing concept, and realized from a Meta perspective, it is like what happens when a fanfiction writer takes a established character, and inserts OOC character traits into them. From an in- universe perspective, they have the form of that character, maybe even the Memories of that character, but not the Heart of that character. It becomes the Heart the new Writer inserted.
Further. I liken the Player to a higher dimensional being inserting themselves in the World and then as characters in the Book/Game.
So it is an Role, a Character drawn by the "Author" /Master of Masters and Darkness who we then insert ourselves into. But we still have to follow the pattern of the character..
So what is happening in Fiction is normal people are being overwritten by the Narrative, and it is making them Out of Character to themselves.
I will now quote the Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer: "If this isn't the Ending you desire- if it brings you despair– then leave this world for another. You options are Endless."
Here is a Thought, in Fiction, you can imagine any world you can think of, include one's someone has already made. You can then insert yourself in them with your Imagination. Over and over. And if you get bored, or hate the end, you can reset the Story and play the characters again with new self inserts (fanfiction).

Also what if the master of masters is originally from quadratum and him being in a war with friends is what we're seeing with yozora . That's the Masters story leading him to daybreak town creating the box putting one of his eye on the no name keyblade etc.

When I heard "people stealing power from the strong and acting like they've earned it" immediately males me think of sora taking riku's keyblade from him twice now and all he's been doing since day 1 is destroy darkness
