  1. There were a few "true crime" type video essays about LawstPehdos a year or so back. I watched one of them recently since the YouTube algorithm decided that band was relevant again after the stabbing. Kind of funny, since I hadn't heard of them prior to that video.

  2. Varg currently lives with his wife Marie and their 5 or 6 children in Lozรจre. He's become a French citizen years ago upon his release from Norway (Marie was a student who asked him if she could use his music for an art project at the university, that's how they met when he was serving time in Norway).

  3. You can't enjoy someone being stabbed in prison, no matter what he did. Prisons are made for people to be deprived of their rights because of what they did but not for being stabbed. When he was stabbed he also became a victim. There is not a single justification for stabbing someone in prison.

  4. I don't believe that metal musicians are any more murderous than any other group. There was a chemist-turned-schoolteacher who taught at a baptist church in my city (Ninth-and-O Baptist Church in Louisville, KY). They ran a private school there at the time. He was studying to become a pastor, and was teaching science class to pay the bills. He and his wife suffered from financial problems, and their marriage was crumbling. Eventually it became too much for him, and he snapped.

In 1991, he shot his wife in the back of the head and then BEHEADED her (to eliminate dental records). He then buried her head in the garden and placed her body in an abandoned house. Then he doused the house in gasoline and set it on fire with her body inside it, badly burning himself in the process.

When the firefighters put out the fire, they found her badly burned body, but one of her hands was still intact. Her missing head made it obvious that foul play was involved, and fingerprints turned up a misdemeanor arrest in Pennsylvania more than a decade earlier (identifying her body). Her husband was in the hospital with third degree burns, and it wasn't hard to put 2 and 2 together. He admitted to beheading his wife, but blamed his son for killing her.

Of course, the jury did not buy his stupid alibi, and he was found guilty of murder. His name is John R Strange, and he is serving life without parole.

  5. Well made video, honestly among metal acts I'm surprised Tripp Eisen didn't warrant at least a mention for his foul stunt. Tldr for the blokes that are unaware but during Eisens time with the Static X outfit he would be caught soliciting underage fans, for what shouldn't need to be asked. To the bands credit the moment Wayne and the rest of the lot learned of his true colors they very promptly dropped him and moved on.

  6. You forgot to mention The Nightstalker – Richard Ramirez wasn't a musician but he was a metalhead that was active within the Bay Area Thrash scene; Kirk Hammett even said he vaguely remembers seeing him at gigs and parties. 12+ counts of murder and 11+ counts of rape puts him at number 1 if you ask me, Cunt was a fucking maniac

  7. Interesting video, but it always comes off desperate when grown men try to big themselves by talking down on people who have obviously hit the bottom of their lives already. Or hey, mock the mentally ill ๐Ÿ’ช

  8. You missed Jon Nodtveidt. Nodtveidt was the vocalist/guitarist of Swedish black metal act Dissection. In the 90s, Dissection released two albums. In 1997, Nodtveidt and two other accomplices were involved in the Keillers Park murder, in which an Algerian gay man named Josef ben Meddour was shot and killed. Nodtveidt was convicted the following year of being an accessory to murder and ended up serving 6 years in prison. After getting out in 2004, Nodtveidt reformed Dissection and two years later, the band released their third and final album, Reinkaos. Dissection disbanded following a short European tour and two months after the final concert, Nodtveidt took his own life.

  9. As a metalhead myself, I don't think Black Metal is particularly appealing to people who are emotionally stable. There's plenty of metal out that doesn't romanticize the most horrific kinds of violence, with scenes that aren't chock full of literal nazis, but if you're drawn to that more than other kinds of metal I would think real long and hard about why that is.
