  2. Goodness you named 3 games I almost bought during the Fall Steam Sale and I am so happy I decided to wait on them and not be swayed by the discount. You’re a wallet saver for sure.

  3. About the repetitive nature of cozy games—yes, they usually are repetitive in regards to the game loop (checking crops every day, tending to animals, etc.) but that loop needs to be entertaining enough and have variety IN IT in order for it to be exciting. Stardew has a ton of variety in its loop of what you can do each day so that you don’t get bored. I absolute agree with you Bubbles that sometimes being a boring repetitive game sucks.

  4. Awww I was looking forward to playing Bear & Breakfast and Chef RPG 😢. Bandle Tale and The Garden Path's art look so cute tho. Thank you for the review. I might have to wait for the games to be updated and maybe buy them on sale.

  5. Lovely video! 😊❤👍 Thanks for the info. Shall be avoiding almost all of them 😅

Except Bear and Breakfast 😂🐻 Clunky controls and backtracking aside, it's of my many guilty pleasure games. Hank and the others are just too sweet to ignore 😅🐻

  6. Surprised no one mentioned Sunnyside up. It could have been huge but had an awful launch and hasn't really gotten fixed up.

As for Bear and Breakfast, I disagree. It controls great on PC and once you unlock bus stops it makes getting around very easy. It does have a lot of dialogue but a lot of games in this genre can be dialogue heavy.

  7. Ok, now I wanna know. You really don't like puzzles? To me there is nothing more cozy than just sitting there, taking my time figuring out how to solve a puzzle. Or do you just don't like timed puzzles? Because that would make sense to me.

  8. "Lack of polish" and "Early access game" literally go hand-in-hand, so I can't understand all of your hate for chef RPG. If you wanted a polished, finished game, perhaps you should wait to play them until they're out of their EA phase (since it's basically just a pay-to-play open beta at that point) – especially with a game that JUST released in EA and hasn't had much time for the devs to take in all the feedback and make significant changes.

I sincerely hope you give any games you review poorly while they're in EA a second look review once they're out of EA and in a full release.

  9. With Stardew Valley keep getting update to be better as the top pioneer of the gerne, so much new game keep getting out to without the core soul need to make then truely a game or cozygame
They just try and fail miserably, they don't know what they are lacking

  10. This might be an unpopular opinion, I got my time at sandrock, couldn't get into it, tried all sort if guides but it just didn't click, which was so annoying because I saw so many good reviews but that hasn't been my experience so far.

  11. Buuut in my opinion Bear & Breakfast also has the halte bus to switch between hotels, and the rat podium to manage stuff also, i think it's still quite fun tho decorating and managing it for me 😀

  12. Like I've said about one of these, not even my 5 year old cousins would find that interesting for long. Now 5 of 6 might be a bit on the young side for gaming in general, but those kids are smart and in a year or two they won't be too young for it anymore. They finally started jigsaw puzzling over the summer as well. I can't imagine them being interested in something like Crittter Cafe or Amber Isle past the cute looks. At least not in paying it, maybe if there were cute animated show with those concepts they'd watch and enjoy that.

  13. I completely agree on Critter Cafe, this game was hyped up by a YouTuber I like so I was super excited to play it. Played the demo on steam a couple of days before the release and let me tell you I actually cannot believe that they're charging money for this game. It looks and runs like a game you would find on girlsgogames or like a mobile game and has no substance to it whatsoever. It is the most disappointing game of the year for me as I usually love cozy games and anything related to running a cafe or simulation, but this is just downright bad. There is no cafe management other than doing short minigames, the critters do nothing in the cafe, no incentive to keep playing, no money system, no animation of the customers doing anything other than suddenly popping in and out of their chairs, no food or drinks in front of the customers when you give them their order, the day is ended suddenly and abruptly by a loading screen, the npc are just lifeless and the sound design of the characters talking is awful. I have seen a surprising amount of positive reviews on steam, but I have no idea how this can be bought and enjoyed by anyone to be honest. The critters themselves are cute, but there is nothing to this game it's completely lifeless and should be free to play in my opinion, would not recommend at all!

  14. It's a good example of 'Concept is great, but implementation leaves something to be desired'. Admittedly, I would love to see something that blends a traditional RPG with some Cozy/Farming elements.

  15. I bought Amber Isle and it runs horrible.. no trouble with a bunch of other games and because I was 2 hours over the refund time they wouldn't refund.. it took me hours to get around so I wasn't really playing.. lol.. very disappointed in them not refunding.. it's not even playable.. total waste of money 😡

  16. I LOVED Bandle Tale but it gets too repetitive and boring towards the end like I was begging for this game to be finished. I really enjoyed the whimsical element of it a lot though

  17. I have such limited time to play games that I do extensive research before buying. That's why I never get bad games that I end up regretting. I tried Critter Cafe's demo and that didn't impress me but for me it was the serving mini games and clunky interactions, especially when picking up an order/serving. Luma Island is also not challenging, but still offers a lot.

  18. I want to defend Bandle Tale a little. I totally get your reaction to it, but I quite liked the gameplay. I don’t mind fetch-quests when they involve a little puzzle-solving, which is really what crafting games are. I love checking things off a list. The skill tree does hit a major slowdown after a few hours, but the secret is to throw more parties than you’re prompted to by the story! I’m a sucker for the kind of silly environments in the game, and the writing was delightful. I also admit that the late game suffers from underdevelopment – a real shame that the team was disbanded shortly after the game’s release. I completed the game, and honestly, I will play again soon to scratch the itch of enjoyable checklist completion.

  19. sorry but chef rpg was great to play, it's a go explore, forage/hunt and run your restraunt game loop with minigames mixed in during the cooking portion. I didn't get any bugs but the dev is a great dude who is super receptive of community feedback so even if I did i'm sure it would have been fixed in the next patch. It's early access but all the componants are there it has 30 hours worth of gameplay idk i would rather spend 20 bucks on a cool solo dev game that is early access than a 2 hour movie that I might like or might hate.
