  1. I love this. It makes 100% sense the emperor couldn't have a rogue Primark running around disobeying orders from his commanding officer and possibly getting into a civil war with one of the most important parts of the imperium. The fact that he would be so overwhelmed with grief that he would take the cloning technology to try and rebuild. His legion is spot on too. And if the emperor had strictly forbid such technologies and uses of clones, he'd be not only in direct violation of the emperor's orders, disobeying kiss commander's orders, and starting a war with a vital part ave, the imperium's war effort. So the emperor had to lock them up, he couldn't kill him nor would he because he's technically not evil, all of his actions are 100% logical. Andy didn't fall to chaos. So why get rid of him completely, why not just stick them in a cell? And aesthesis chamber has a bit of a time out.

  2. The inspiration behind the lost legions were originally the lost roman legions. I think the problem with modern 40k is it is no longer a case of mysteries just being a thing, thanks to the need to monetize nostalgia no rock is left unturned anymore. Tuomas Pirinen put it best when he explained about how the mystery door was there to peak people's interest but in reality there was nothing behind it as it was there to fuel the imagination. Nowadays everything has be to corporatized, branded and explained so that it can be licensed for one hundred percent profit.
I personally think they should be left as footnotes in history and nothing more needs to be said officially other than to spark the imaginations of players through their speculation.

  3. The lore seems weak. 3+ Primarchs with all these legions struggled against some "thief lords" this badly? And the Emperor eliminated a whole Primarch + Legion from history because he blew up a semi-valuable planet that really changed nothing? This seems poorly thought out. Why do people like it?
