  1. Your description of Slitterhead makes it sound like a spiritual successor to Prototype, one of my favorite 'fuck around in an open city' games; I'll definitely have to check that one out. <3

  2. I work in the gaming industry and its true, this years games were amazing – big buget and indie.
Unfortunately the industry itself had probably one of its worst years, with multiple studios firing large amounts of their developers and killing/splitting up a lot of smaller teams, while making record sales. Its so frustrating and disheartening to see.

  3. Lmao BG3 single-handedly got me out of a decade long funk of only playing 3 games (osrs, tf2, hearthstone) and will probably remain the best game I’ve ever personally played until Larian’s next game. Hades, stardew, rdr2, gta5, cyberpunk, vampire survivors, slay the spire, balatro are all excellent but haven’t hit the same life changing spot that BG3 did. Play that fucking game

  4. You have got to do yourself a favor and ensure that some games that didn't make it to 2023 or 2024's list make it onto next year's. Some of these games are so Geller-core I'm shocked you haven't touched them.
Visual novels Slay the Princess, and Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo.
Resident-evil-inspired Adventure game Lorelei and the Laser Eyes.
    4D Golf.
The impeccably hilarious and dark Anthology of The Killer,
and the mind-blowing discovery & puzzle game Void Stranger, which if I had played it in 2023 would have been my GOTY
